Wow!! Your great-great-grandfather was such a trailblazer! You must be proud to have that history in your family :)

In order to cite something on Wikipedia, it has to be a published, reliable secondary source, preferably publicly available online. For example, if someone wrote a blog post or magazine article that mentioned primary sources (like a will) and made clear what the blog/magazine author's credentials are (why we should trust them), one could cite that blogpost/article on a Wiki page. And historians would love to be pointed in the direction of more info and scanned primary sources! - Rcamilled (talk) 20:57, 31 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
