Anthony Bradbury The Greg Di Gesu article created yesterday was linked with credits and notes to individuals and organizations with pre-existing Wikipedia pages which mention the noteworthy singer, songwriter and sound engineer Greg Di Gesu. I would like to have the chance to add more contributions to the article and allow other Wikipedia users to do the same; you will see that he is highly worthy of a Wikipedia page. I will continue to edit the article to ensure it conforms to Wikipedia policies and guidelines. Thank you in advance for your consideration.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Greg Di Gesu requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content or organised event, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. --Finngall talk 22:07, 19 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Weegeerunner I would like to have the chance to edit the Greg Di Gesu article further, adding additional sources, and think you will see this singer, songwriter is a long-standing and highly regarded musician worthy of a Wikipedia page.

Amortias I would like to add more credits and contributions for Greg Di Gesu, including links to individuals and organizations that have pre-existing Wikipedia pages. I would like to have the chance to explain that Greg Di Gesu is a noteworthy singer, musician worthy of a Wikipedia page.

I noticed this page has been deleted a few times. If you believe this person is notable enough, i.e. there is significant coverage from independent sources about them, I would recommend using the WP:AFC process, and in particular Wikipedia: Article Wizard to create the article. This way, you get feedback from other users about how to improve the article, before it gets accepted, making it much more likely to be kept. Joseph2302 (talk) 20:29, 20 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Joseph2302 Is it possible to retrieve a newly created article once it has been deleted by an admin? I will certainly use the info you provided as I proceed; I would like to have more time to edit and add contributions made by Greg Di Gesu. I am a new user, still trying to figure out what makes him 'important' enough but I am complying by Wikipedia standards and policies and developing this article because he is already mentioned on individuals and organizations pre-existing on Wikipedia. Thank you for the information.

One way is to ask the admin who deleted it- looks like @Chrislk02: and @Anthony Bradbury: both deleted a version of this page. Or you can ask at Wikipedia:Requests for undeletion. Joseph2302 (talk) 20:42, 20 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Good to know where to request the undeletion; have done so! Hope this isn't a lost cause. Thank you for your help Josheph2302.
