Autobiography

[edit]

Tungatjeta, Mergim.

In case you are confused by the messages that others have left for you, I want to explain to you that autobiography (writing about yourself) is almost never acceptable on Wikipedia. There are at least two reasons for this:

  1. All articles in Wikipedia should be about subjects which are notable, which means that they have already been written about in other sources (such as books or newspapers)
  2. All articles in Wikipedia are required to be written from a neutral point of view: this is extremely difficult to do: see WP:COI.

Furthermore, the place you have been editing to insert your Autobiography would be the wrong place even if the article were acceptable, because you are changing a template, which may be used in many articles.

The one place where it is permitted to add some autobiographical information is in your own user page: in your case User:Mergimrama1995. This is a page where you may place any information relating to your work on Wikipedia (as long as it does not contravene copyright or other rules), and so some users do post some information about themselves there. A detailed autobiography would still not be appropriate though.

I hope this helps you. --ColinFine (talk) 16:54, 1 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Wikipedia:WikiProject Persondata/List of biographies/30. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted or removed. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you.
