== Battle of Lewisham ==

I am creating a new substantial page on this event, moving the text from the New Cross article and then adding material to it. I have deleted the original text from the New Cross article. In the mean time you have deleted the Battle of Lewisham article and redirected to New Cross. Please can you leave the Battle of Lewisham page intact while I work on it.

Thank you for taking the time to participate at the discussion in my Request for Adminship. Unfortunately the nomination did not succeed, but please rest assured that I am still in full support of the Wikipedia project. I listened carefully to all concerns, and will do my best to incorporate all of the constructive advice that I received, into my future actions on Wikipedia. If you can think of any other ways that I can further improve, please let me know. Best wishes, Elonka 04:06, 5 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yield Burning-A page I created was deleted on Friday before I was finished editing it. I emailed the permission of the copyrighted text to the noted email address shortly after, and have not heard a response. I posted the same on Yield-burning talk page. Please let me know if there is anything else I need to do, and how long this process usually takes. If you have any questions about the content or references please ask.

Oops, I didn't sign the Yield-burning note. Phillips&CohenQuiTam 15:37, 6 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

James Aparicio

School IP address

Hello Recently i tried to edit an article at my school but the school server seems to share an IP address. The same with the public library. This doesn't really serve a problem but I would like to know how to get rid of this small problem. Thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.96.80.15 (talkcontribs)

Thank you for your responce it really helped. I will create a user asap, but i was wondering if, say for example somebody used a user at one of these public places and then wrote a responce to their own question making it appear as if they have trustworthy sources on a discussion topic in the same ip address, then would you ban that person? I ask because i think thats how the last person got our school ip blocked and its quite annoying when im trying to add in information. Sorry for the troubles and thanks again.

Nicole Atkins

Miss, why did you delete my article on Nicole Atkins she rocks my face. Can you please make a page on her, shes famous. I'm not good at starting pages, so since you deleted my page on Nicole, you make a page for this amazing singer...please!--The Blizzard King 02:19, 24 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted my article on QuestionMark

Please reconsider unilaterally deciding to delete my article on QuestionMark. You have not offered me any recourse on this, you have decided this is an article which is meant to advertise or promote a company, when it is simply reporting facts. If there are areas which you consider to be inappropriate, please tag them as appropriate with your justification, and I will consider revising. I am an academic user of QuestionMark, nothing to do with the company, check my ip address. Compare the entry with that for Blackboard VLE, and you may find similarities. This article is the start of hopefully a more expanded stub on CAA, and you cannot talk about on-line assessment without reference to the company which is a leader in the world market.

I have checked the WP:CSD, and although this article refers entirely to one company and one product, just in the way at an article on MS Work would, for instance, the criteria also says that "an article that is blatant advertising should have inappropriate content as well", so can you please explain to me what of the content is inappropriate ?

Clifton Steamboat Museum

Hello I work for the Clifton Steamboat Museum in Beaumont Texas. Since our competitors are using google to provide a biography for their museums - and after briefly reading through the posting rules - I posted a page for CSM which was immediately deleted as spam (I think) - Please explain the correct procedures for posting and explain which procedures I did incorrectly that lead to the deletion in the first place.

You may reply via email or through our email form at http://www.CliftonSteamboatMuseum.com/ You may also contact us directly via the phone, number is listed at the website.

Thanks Plaka@Hughes.net CGraham@Cliftonsteamboatmuseum.com --69.19.14.40 17:48, 31 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Very Frustrating, but this is the 2nd post (first was erased)

After reviewing the deletion, I think the error is technical. I am on a Hughes Sat network that uses transparent proxies. This was causing me to log in and out from page to page. The original article which was not the correct article went through and posted when I switched to SSL wiki server. This was unexpected, and as I was editing the article to the correct format it was deleted. (roughly 60-90 seconds from the originally post) Due to this technical error the correct post was never entered into wiki.

This would have been the correct post if the article had not been deleting during editing and if I had not had technical issues which inadvertly caused me to post the incorrect format of the article.

So I think I understand why my original post was deleted - basically because I was unable to enter the correct article within the 90 seconds from creation to deletion. If this is correct, can you please tell me if this article would be acceptable. I plan on adding bio's for all the museums artist's, so please let me know where, if any, I am not in compliance with wiki.

Sincerely --CSMwebmaster 19:37, 31 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

External links on Unrequited love

On June 26, you deleted several external links from the unrequited love page, citing WP:EL. One of those links, "Joelogon's Foolproof Guide to Making Any Woman Your Platonic Friend", has been removed before, and replaced by me several times. (Your removal of it can be seen here.) I have read through WP:EL and see nothing in it to justify removal of the link. In fact, I strongly believe that the link contains "meaningful, relevant content that is not suitable for inclusion in an article". The only possible justification I can see for removing it would be a claim about undue weight given to one point of view, but even that would be quite a stretch. Can you provide an explanation for the link's removal? --Steve-o Stonebraker 22:42, 31 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
