Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and vote pages using three tildes, like this: ~~~. Four tildes (~~~~) produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my Talk page. Hi, I saw that you were contributing to the Wolverine (comics) article. We have a guy on there called Nightscream who is vandalising the article. Anytime you contribute, make sure to revert to the version previous to anything he's done, that way your work won't be lost. Check out the discussion to see what I'm talking about. At least half a dozen wikipedians, including myself, are having to revert his edits twice a day now to this entry alone at this point. ScifiterX 20:16, 9 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

As a member of WikiProject Comics, I thought you might be interested in the Comics Collaboration of the Fortnight we have set up. Please feel free to vote on the articles listed, although bear in mind that a vote for a particular article means you are pledging to help improve the article. The goal of the collaboration is to improve articles to Featured Article status, as we feel Comics is under-represented in that area. Thanks for your help. Monica[edit]

Hi there. I wonder if you could provide some verification of the statement you added to the Monica disambiguation page on April 27th that "In Equatorial Guinea, it is illegal to name your child Monica".

I've taken this off for the moment until a source can be found to confirm it as it is rather odd. --Spondoolicks 13:51, 28 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Classic Rock[edit]

Hello. I was wondering if you would like to participate in my classic rock survey. I'm trying to find the most liked classic rock song. There is more information on my user page. Hope you participate! RENTASTRAWBERRY FOR LET? röck 03:00, 30 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Comics Collaboration of the Month[edit]

Hello Meweight. Superhero, the article you supported is now Comics Collaboration of the Month. Please improve it in any way you see fit to bring it up to featured article standard. Thank you in advance, --Jamdav86 16:02, 21 December 2005 (UTC).[reply]

Overt reference to real musicians[edit]

hi Meweight

Overt references is on my watchlist and i notice this edit you made:

http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=List_of_songs_containing_overt_reference_to_real_musicians&curid=362101&diff=33169130&oldid=33168887

i was wondering what the deal was... are these references innaccurate? should they be moved to Covert references for example?

i don't have these songs [more of a Public Enemy kinda rap fan myself], so can't check their veracity at this point].

how on earth did you get a page this good? from User:trigon

Favorite Songs[edit]

My survey has changed. I am now continuing my mission for the best songs, but now I am accepting all genres. I'm giving you a chance to revote for your top ten favorite songs of any genres (not just classic rock which is still the best). I've made a executive decision to keep the existing survey results and just add on to that with the new entries. My feeling for doing this is because classic rock is the most influential genre in music currently so it should be expressed more in the survey. Thank you for contributing in the past, and hopefully in the future. ROCK ON. RENTASTRAWBERRY FOR LET? röck 03:23, 9 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject Fort Worth[edit]

Hi, Meweight! I have proposed a WikiProject for Fort Worth, and I was just wondering if you were interested. Please show your support by going here and adding your name to the list of interested Wikipedians. To improve the quality of this and other Fort Worth-related articles, I believe it necessary now for this project to exist. Dallas, Texas, although not yet a featured article, is of signficantly higher quality than Fort Worth's article is. We need a few more interested members before the project goes into action. Thanks! --Stallions2010 19:33, 17 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Comics Articles for Deletion[edit]

One or more articles you’ve been involved in editing (Melter, Ringer (comics), Ego the Living Planet, or others) has been nominated for deletion. If you feel you can make contributions to the article to improve it and make it worth keeping, please do so. BOZ (talk) 15:26, 7 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Category:Boy Meets World characters, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Category:Boy Meets World characters has been empty for at least four days, and its only content has been links to parent categories. (CSD C1).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Category:Boy Meets World characters, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Peer review request (List of Weeds episodes)[edit]

Hello,

I've put List of Weeds episodes up for peer review because I've made a ton of recent and major edits to it in the hope of getting it to FL status and would like the input of others to suggest additions in content (such as if the episode leaks discussed in the main article and the faux talk show Good Morning Agrestic should be included) or make note of errors (if the ratings section needs to be re-written, if the theme song/opening sequence sections need to be extended and if the episode summaries are appropriate).

Thanks, The no erz (talk) 14:42, 2 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Notice

The article Roulette (Marvel Comics) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The coverage (references, external links, etc.) does not seem sufficient to justify this article passing Wikipedia:General notability guideline and the more detailed Wikipedia:Notability (fiction) requirement. WP:BEFORE did not reveal any significant coverage on Gnews, Gbooks or Gscholar. If you disagree and deprod this, please explain how it meets them on the talk page here in the form of "This article meets criteria A and B because..." and ping me back through WP:ECHO or by leaving a note at User talk:Piotrus. Thank you.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
