X-Files mythology episodes
[edit]I've tried explaining through edit summaries, but you seem to be ignoring those. The X-Files articles are under the purview of a project called Wikipedia:WikiProject The X-Files (WP:TXF), and users involved with the project had a discussion at the talk page there concerning the removal or retention of the asterisk markers for mythology episodes. Although there weren't a lot of people involved, the number of people wanting to remove the asterisks outnumbered those wanting to retain them. If you want to re-open the discussion there and add your opinion to it, feel free, but at the moment the consensus is to keep the asterisks out, which is why I have continued to remove them. Please see the project's talk page before adding them back again. Thanks. GRAPPLE X 23:46, 2 October 2011 (UTC)
Thanks for the info and I would like to apologize for what seemed to be like ignoring the edit summary but it's just that I am having trouble finding things on wiki. My intentions weren't to cause any problems with the whole thing it's that I thought the edit was valid since Chris Carter and the X-Files Alien Mythology DVD Collection proves my argument so, that's why I was so persistant. Again I do apologize for my technical ignorance and it wasn't aimed at anyone, especially you. I appreciate the discussion and hopefully good things comes from it. Thanks. Mfluder1013
- Not a bother, I figured I'd just drop you a talk message in case you hadn't seen the edit summaries. If you're interested in The X-Files, you should go on ahead and stick your name down on the project, it's gotten pretty quiet so a few more hands on deck won't hurt at all. How to add myself to a Project
[edit]How do I add myself to a project?
Thanks,
Mfluder1013
- If you mean the X-Files one I mentioned, you can read over the main page here, and edit this page to add your name. I'm planning on updating the "to do" list soon, so there'll be an up-to-date list of improvements to help with, although there should be a wee table there to list all the articles by quality if you want to find one to work on. Mythology error...
[edit]There is an asterix beside the episode Conduit but it is not part of the Alien Mythology episodes as per the Mythology episode box set Abduction. Can we change that?
Ratings for Seasons 1 and 2 wrong...
[edit]I've been looking at the ratings and they seem a bit off, so I checked the references from USA Today and if you use their chart, they even made a mistake if you add the numbers yourself. For example, Pilot episode is at 12 million viewers according to what they wrote down but if you add according to their chart (942,000 viewers for 1 point) the total amount would be 7.4 million viewers if you as per 7.9point to 15 shares. If that is the case I could change that for you guys with pleasure and I would use the "Official Guide to the X-Files - The Truth Is Out There.
Mythology Episodes confirmed by Chris Carter himself as per the Mythology Box set.
[edit]Hi,
I have the book "The Complete X-Files: Behind the Series the Myths and the Movies" and this is not a book that confirms the mythology episodes by Chris Carter only by the authors Matt Hurwitz & Chris Knowles. It's their opinions on what episodes are part of the mythology. The mythology box set is confirmed by Chris Carter and does not include the episodes Season 4 - Demons, Season 5 - Christmas Carol & Emily, Season 8 - The Gift and Season 9 - Jump the Shark. If we can change that, I have tried but it keeps getting reverted to what it previously was.
Thanks,
Louis
