Speedy deletion nomination of Business Navigation[edit]

Hello MichaelNight425,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Business Navigation for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Vgenapl (talk) 13:23, 2 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Business Navigation, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Business Navigation, a page you have created yourself. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Contest this speedy deletion which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. —C.Fred (talk) 17:30, 2 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Business Navigation. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Contest this speedy deletion, which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. You may expand the article, you may rewrite the language to be more neutral, and you may discuss the potential deletion at the article's talk page. However, you may not remove the speedy deletion tag; an editor unconnected to the creation of the article would need to make that determination.C.Fred (talk) 17:34, 2 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop removing speedy deletion notices from pages that you have created yourself, as you did with Business Navigation. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please continue to participate in the discussion on the talk page, but you may not remove the speedy deletion template from the article itself.C.Fred (talk) 17:50, 2 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Note to CSD reviewing MichaelNight425[edit]

Product of this company is BNS system which is based on this concept. But the concept is property of few teachers from University of Economics in Prague and Czech technical university in Prague. On this concept is based more than BNS system but also Bisnode system and other small systems known in czech republic. The reason why is it here is because my teachr (one from that group of teachers) asked me if i could write about it od Wikipedia for better knowing. I found information at the book and on websites, so i write it down as usual in my schoolworks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by MichaelNight425 (talkcontribs)

@MichaelNight425: So, what reviews and scholarly work has been written about their concept, but not by them? I'm trying to figure out if the article should just be deleted, if it should be deleted and replaced with a redirect to a topic like enterprise resource planning, or if it should be rewritten from scratch. —C.Fred (talk) 17:39, 2 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@C.Fred: BN concept is above (over) the ERP, because BN pump data from ERP, CRM and other systems. The unique is in Strategic planning. Look at czech wikipedia on the same topic, here on english wikipedia is just translated content. If you want delete last sentence i dont care. — Preceding unsigned comment added by MichaelNight425 (talkcontribs) 17:48, 2 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
So we're back to the same question: is this a notable stand-alone topic, or is this really just a coatrack to promote one company's product? I ask because I don't find any other sources in a Google search for the term. —C.Fred (talk) 17:52, 2 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@C.Fred: Look it is czech concept known in czech republic and slovak republic. I am not employee Inekon, i am student University of Economics and doing what i was asked. Maybe in the future it will be well known in UK, Germany or other countries. I found it really interesting topic and i cant see any reason why it could not be on wikipedia (czech, slovak or english ... now i am working on german translate)MichaelNight425 (talk
  • I would hold off on creating this across all of the various Wikipedia pages. The reason is that each Wikipedia has their own rules for notability and what may be allowed on one may not be permitted on another. Also, I really don't think that you should be creating the pages for this since it appears to be something that your own professors came up with. Even though you did not come up with the idea yourself, you still have a conflict of interest with this since you are creating a page for them. To be honest, I really think that you should stop creating the pages and let someone else make them since there is a strong conflict of interest here. If this is all coming across the way I think it is, then this also does not show a lot of integrity with your professors since they're essentially asking you to go and spam Wikipedia with information about something they came up with. I think that since the term's creators are your professors (ie, people who are responsible for giving you a passing grade), you're under too much of a conflict of interest here. C.Fred has been asking you for proof that this term is notable outside of the main topic, which means that you have to show where this specific term/concept has been covered in reliable sources independent of the people who created it. Saying that "everyone knows about this" is not good enough. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 05:03, 3 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
