Thank again[edit]

Hello Michaeldsuarez. I appreciate you informing on the use of my quote. I agree it is very unfortunate for me, and I'm a bit surprised. I didn't think it seemed like a biased comment. I'm glad you played a little defense on my part by pointing out that my record speaks for itself. I'm a believer in action speaks louder than words, and my edits show that I am unbiased, and only present verfiable facts and sources. I'm not really going to get into it on the signpost because I feel the MFD was a biased assault against the wikiproject conservatism, and shouldn't have brought about in the first place. Disputes should be on an article by article basis. Thank you again. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jjrj24 (talkcontribs) 22:27, 3 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom election 2011[edit]

I'm technically an OTRS member. Its also not a complete list of my socks but trying to put together a complete list (the most obivious ones you missed are user:Genicoord and the unused user:UK voteing account) would result in the table looking rather silly.©Geni 20:53, 15 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A fair chunk of the first page of Special:ListUsers was create by me to push some rather nasty attacks off the first page (This was before usernames could be changed). User:Arbcom Candidate was created as an example account for the arbcom 2006 elections. I've create a lot of accounts over the years to test things and the like so I honestly can't say if any given list contains them all.©Geni 21:45, 15 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification[edit]

Hi. When you recently edited Anwar Yusuf Turani, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages War of independence and Uyghur (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Your input is needed on the SOPA initiative[edit]

Hi Michaeldsuarez,

You are receiving this message either because you expressed an opinion about the proposed SOPA blackout before full blackout and soft blackout were adequately differentiated, or because you expressed general support without specifying a preference. Please ensure that your voice is heard by clarifying your position accordingly.

Thank you.

Restore[edit]

Hi! I was wondering, what up with your "restore" edits to Wikipedia:SOPA initiative/Action? (Not criticizing, just curious.) --Guy Macon (talk) 17:22, 16 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

See Wikipedia talk:SOPA initiative/Action#RfC page is busted again. An IP accidently deleted all the support votes, it got restored to just before the IP's edit, so 19 intermediate revisions by 16 users got deleted. Michaeldsuarez restored the votes and comments that got deleted. It looks like they are all there. Well done Michaeldsuarez, have a brownie. Hi, Michael. I goofed up the other day when I changed the section header at Enough, Joe. My mistake—I mis-read what was happening there. Thank you for reverting my change. How is this useful[edit]

This comment makes very little sense, and is not overly germane to the discussion. Jimbo praised something; I echoed the praise, but raised a concern. RainbowDash / Futtershy and an unsuccessful ArbCom candidate[edit]

May I ask what you hope to achieve by asking every unsuccessful candidate? Do you expect one of them to turn around and say "yes, it was me, please bring the lynch mob round"? And, assuming any benefit is gained from knowing who it was (which I'm not seeing), has it not occurred to you that a simple process of elimination using publicly available information drastically narrows the field? Copyright[edit]

You need to know some stuff about copyright. I have a question, on youtube i see video's of football matches (or highlights of goals scored), they are quickly removed, but if somone record a video of a football match with a camrea it does not get removed, which i found interesting. similiarly if i took pictures (not scans) of copyrighted imaged with a camera and uploaded on wikipedia, would i be allowed to use them or would that still be copyright?--Misconceptions2 (talk) 14:17, 25 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

hi. thank you for pointing me to that. i have never commented on an arbcom case before, and everytime i edit the drama boards, my watchlist explodes. i believe that i made the redirects after finding an examiner article that named that party. i can remove the redirects, or comment on the arbcom case, both, or neither. plz advise. :) -badmachine 14:08, 6 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

i am reading it, and have it watchlisted, but the examiner didn't give much background, and people there are referring to stuff i dont know about, sometimes cryptically. as for arbcom-grade drama: it cant be worse than certain usenet groups. :D -badmachine 14:34, 6 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your Arbitration evidence is too long[edit]

Hello, Michaeldsuarez. Thank you for your recent submission of evidence for the Fæ Arbitration case. As you may be aware, the Arbitration Committee asks that users submitting evidence in cases adhere to limits regarding the length of their submissions. These limits, currently at 1000 words and 100 diffs for parties and 500 words and 50 diffs for all others, are in place to ensure that the Arbitration Committee receives only the most important information relevant to the case, and is able to determine an appropriate course of action in a reasonable amount of time. The evidence you have submitted currently exceeds at least one of these limits, and is presently at 920 words and 15 diffs. Please try to reduce the length of your submission to fit within these limits; this guide may be able to provide some help in doing so. If the length of your evidence is not reduced soon, it may be refactored or removed by a human clerk within a few days. Thank you! If you have any questions or concerns regarding the case, please contact the drafting Arbitrator or case clerk (listed on the case pages); if you have any questions or concerns about this bot, please contact the operator. On behalf of the Arbitration Committee, HersfoldArbClerkBOT(talk) 16:03, 15 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:FingerLakesWiki.png)[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:FingerLakesWiki.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:02, 22 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Can I ask why you keep pestering me on Wikipedia?[edit]

You constantly come on here, and put a watch on all my accounts. Don't lie, because I know accounts can be watched. When I sue Wikipedia (any time now) then I will be bringing up a lot of factual stuff about you and your history with ED. I hardly ever look at ED now. It's shit. Why don't you go back there and actually leave the people who want to edit on real wikis (like I) alone?78.148.96.51 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 17:59, 23 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry[edit]

But I think i'm going to have to say no to your proposal to nominate me, just for now. I've had advice from several people telling me that it would be best until the Arbcom case you're involved in to be over first (and it does appear that you are not going to be blocked). Furthermore, I think I would like to wait to see if anything comes about from the RfA reform 2012 proposals. If certain powers end up being unbundled, that will significantly change the setup and focus of RfA. I also feel that I should get a bit more experience in areas like CCI first, so I will be more likely to get support for wanting to have the tools to help in that area. Thanks though. Feel free to ask me again in a few weeks though and I hope the Arbcom case goes...well, well. In this particular case, I feel like it would be better if none of the sides were unduly punished, as I feel that all participants have both a point and have also done some things rather wrong. SilverserenC 00:52, 26 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Just based on what i'm seeing in the case itself. It's really not focusing on you much at all besides here and there, but who knows. Arbcom may decide to block you for a while because of the ED thing alone, which, admittedly, is pretty bad. SilverserenC 01:24, 28 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I would personally support a much stricter policy on legal threats (you can summarize it as "indef first, ask questions later") but unfortunately it is a dynamic IP and a rangeblock would probably result in a lot of collateral damage.
