Hello and thanks for latest feedback to the Bombs And Bottles article I submitted. I am new to wikipedia article creations and am just trying to get this set up properly. I will go ahead and change the reference for that quote because I accidentally used the wrong one. Any other suggestions that you have for me besides what you wrote?

Bombs and Bottles Formatting
[edit]Hey, sorry about taking so long to get back to you. Could you point out specifically in your article where the sections mesh together? I can't seem to find any mistakes. CharmlessCoin (talk) 22:20, 31 October 2012 (UTC)
Hey it's no problem If you click "edit" in the music styles section, you'll notice the line "The first EP, GammaMax, was released on April 23rd 2009 and a video was shot for the lead single, Playing Hard." If you look back at the regular version, it doesn't include this line for some reason and the next line about the "Pop And Roll" album is for some reason connected with paragraph above.. Does this make sense?Michaelgr43 (talk) 16:17, 1 November 2012 (UTC)MichaelGr43
- Found the problem. In the </ref> tag right before that line, you put the "/" just to the left of the tag, which stopped it from closing the tag. Small issue, I fixed it for you. CharmlessCoin (talk) 21:02, 1 November 2012 (UTC)
Thanks for fixing the problem, it looks like it is supposed to now and that's good. I am unsure of what else to fix on this article, I've submitted a bunch of times now and feel that it's ready to go. It doesn't include any "advertising" or peacock terms on it, just straight facts about the artist and quotes that were made about his music from reliable sources.. Should I submit this now? Thanks again for your help Michaelgr43 (talk) 16:53, 7 November 2012 (UTC) Michaelgr43
Wanted to know if I should submit the article for Bombs And Bottles again specifically for you to see or should I just submit it in general. I am very new to this and am confused if you are personally in charge now of the article getting submitted or if someone else is taking over? Please help me understand what to do, all I want to do is get this article submitted correctly Michaelgr43 (talk) 06:20, 10 November 2012 (UTC)Michaelgr43

[edit]Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Bombs And Bottles a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is needed for attribution and various other purposes. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.
In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. I have tagged the page, this issue will be resolved shortly. Mdann52 (talk) 21:41, 12 November 2012 (UTC)
Can anyone out there please help me remove the notes at the top of the "bombs and bottles" article? Thanks Michaelgr43 (talk) 22:16, 23 March 2013 (UTC)Michaelgr43
Speedy deletion nomination of Wiv labs
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Wiv labs requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Speedy deletion nomination of Qaster
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Qaster, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
[edit]Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Qaster. While objective prose about beliefs, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. This page has been deleted twice before. Your copyright declaration on the logo, File:Qaster.jpeg, indicates you are acting on behalf of WIV Labs. Bazj (talk) 09:14, 2 October 2014 (UTC)
Hi Sorry about the delay in responding, I was away from my computer and just saw this. Adding Qaster is not only for promotional purposes. There are many people out there who are generally interested in the service and continue to ask us why we have a blank page on Wikipedia. I do not want it to be for promotional/advertising services and that was not the intention of posting about Qaster. I want to add more information onto the page and allow others to as well, but I am trying to understand how to do that and make it work within the guidelines. Do you mind helping me some more so that I gear it to sound more legitimate for viewing on Wikipedia? I could really use the help. Thank You! Michaelgr43 (talk) 12:18, 2 October 2014 (UTC)
Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, Michaelgr43. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Qaster, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.
All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.
If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:
- Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
- Be cautious about deletion discussions. Everyone is welcome to provide information about independent sources in deletion discussions, but avoid advocating for deletion of articles about your competitors.
- Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
- Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.
Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.
For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations.
- You've already given up a whole load of rights over your product's logo, File:Qaster.jpeg, and your company's logo, File:WIV Labs.jpeg, the kind of rights most companies would fight to the death to keep. Are you sure you want to keep ignoring wikipedia's guidance over conflicts of interest and give away more of your company's IP?
- As for your request for further help, I still believe your intention is advertising, and I have no intention of helping you achieve that.
- Bazj (talk) 14:02, 2 October 2014 (UTC)
I'm asking you to work with me because I am new to this and am trying to understand how to make the article more legitimate for Wikipedia. I never intended for it to be straight promotion and I'm wondering if it would help if I link Qaster from better sources that already exist on Wikipedia? There is other information that I would like to add into the article with more citation sources as well. I also am interested in all data mining/big data topics and plan to start editing more wikipedia topics in this area and contributing. It's an area that I'd love to contribute positively to in Wikipedia. Michaelgr43 (talk) 04:10, 3 October 2014 (UTC)
- Well, thanks for the offer of working unpaid for your advertising department, not even $15. I think I'll pass. Bazj (talk) 11:05, 3 October 2014 (UTC)
A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Qaster is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Qaster until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Bazj (talk) 15:27, 2 October 2014 (UTC)
The article Bombs and Bottles has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Doesn't seem to meet WP:NMUSIC
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 10:01, 3 June 2024 (UTC)
