The article was not deleted; however, it was redirected to Elk. You can access the previously-displayed information in the page page history of Michigan Elk, for example here. If you want this information to be included in Wikipedia, I recommend you discuss how it can best be incorporated on the talk page of Elk. If you still believe it should be included in Wikipedia as a stand-alone article, you should find reliable sources that demonstrate the subject is notably different from the article to which it's currently redirected; otherwise a future article on this topic may be deleted instead of redirected, and you would lose access to the page history.

One more thing; it appears you've been editing under two user names, Michigamee and Michigamme. I expect this was unintentional, but Wikipedia policy recommends editing under only one account except in unusual circumstances. You may want to stick with Michigamee, the older account.
