Deletion of cruft

[edit]

Hi. This edit here, to which you referred was made because it contained unnecessary details, particularly names of individuals who are not inherently notable. Yours, Quis separabit? 02:24, 12 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

As you can see, the necessary info is clear and concise. There is no need for unnecessary name dropping:

"On 11 March 2016, Kristal was recognized as the world's oldest man by Guinness World Records. His status was verified after documents confirming his age were uncovered in Poland. Formerly, the family's oldest document was from his wedding at age 25. Guinness regulations require documentation from the first 20 years of a person's life. The newly found documents were discovered by Jewish Records Indexing - Poland."

Yours, Quis separabit? 04:23, 12 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I am afraid I cannot help you. Please direct all future inquiries to ANI. Quis separabit? 05:49, 12 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

You appear to be on course to violating WP:3RR, which can result in a temporary block of editing privileges. Quis separabit? 18:11, 12 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

And you are doing the same. I thought Wikipedia was for stating FACTs. I am doing so and you are removing them. You seemed happy to leave the names in until I pointed out you had incorrectly adjusted the name of Jewish Records Indexing - Poland. You do not appear to like criticism.

I am new to this but I dont see how some people are allowed to undo changes but I am not? Please explain.

Mikkitobi (talk) 18:24, 12 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

WP:3RR is a bright-line rule: nobody may revert an article more than three times within a 24-hour period. There are limited exceptions; none of them apply here. When an issue is disputed like this, the behaviour model is WP:BRD: bold, revert, discuss. You made a bold edit, RMS reverted, so now you should discuss your desired change to get support for it on the talk page. —C.Fred (talk) 18:27, 12 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Threading

[edit]

Please read and followWP:THREAD. It's difficult to follow involved talk page threads where one of the editors does not indent his posts. Meters (talk) 02:37, 13 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
