A tag has been placed on Draft:Priya Prakash Warrier, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Unspecified source/license for File:JanindU Mahesh Smile 2015.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:JanindU Mahesh Smile 2015.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

Non-free rationale for File:JanindU Mahesh Smile 2015.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:JanindU Mahesh Smile 2015.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

ATTENTION: This is an automated, bot-generated message. This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 03:00, 1 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Draft:JanindU Mahesh[edit]

In order for an article to be entered into Wikipedia the subject of the article needs to be notable. There are a number of strict guidelines/criteria which establish how notability is determined.

The basic requirements are set out under WP:ANYBIO. Essentially a person may be presumed notable if they have received significant coverage in multiple published secondary sources that are reliable and intellectually independent of each other.

In addition a musician may be notable (as per WP:MUSICBIO) if they meet at least one of the following criteria.

  1. Has been the subject of multiple, non-trivial, published works appearing in sources that are reliable, not self-published, and are independent of the musician.
    • This criterion includes published works in all forms, such as newspaper articles, books, magazine articles, online versions of print media, and television documentaries except for the following:
      • Any reprints of press releases, other publications where the musician or ensemble talks about themselves, and all advertising that mentions the musician or ensemble, including manufacturers' advertising.
      • Works consisting merely of trivial coverage, such as articles that simply report performance dates, release information or track listings, or the publications of contact and booking details in directories.
      • Articles in a school or university newspaper (or similar).
  2. Has had a single or album on any country's national music chart.
  3. Has had a record certified gold or higher in at least one country.
  4. Has received non-trivial coverage in independent reliable sources of an international concert tour, or a national concert tour in at least one sovereign country.
  5. Has released two or more albums on a major record label or on one of the more important indie labels (i.e., an independent label with a history of more than a few years, and with a roster of performers, many of whom are independently notable).
  6. Has become one of the most prominent representatives of a notable style or the most prominent of the local scene of a city; note that the subject must still meet all ordinary Wikipedia standards, including verifiability.
  7. Has won or been nominated for a major music award, such as a Grammy, Juno, Mercury, Choice or Grammis award.
  8. Has won first, second or third place in a major music competition.
  9. Has performed music for a work of media that is notable, e.g., a theme for a network television show, performance in a television show or notable film, inclusion on a notable compilation album, etc. (But if this is the only claim, it is probably more appropriate to have a mention in the main article and redirect to that article. Read WP:BLP1E and WP:BIO1E for further clarifications)
  10. Has been placed in rotation nationally by a major radio or music television network.
  11. Has been a featured subject of a substantial broadcast segment across a national radio or TV network.

In respect to your article on Janindu Mahesh Chandrasekara all the references that you have cited are (i.e. Song Lyrics, and Gossip World) self-promotion / self published sources. I noted that the author of the article on Song Lyrics after it was identified as being a primary source has now been changed to Helaranga Phto and Ankita Agrawal, whilst the article/information remains unchanged. Then when you look at the publisher of the website it is Janindu Mahesh. The other two references from The Sunday Times and National Film Corporation of Sri Lanka do not even mention Chandrasekera, so it is question why they have even been included.

It should be noted that this article has been deleted several times in the recent past for exactly the same reasons that I have outlined above, in that there is no evidence that the subject satisfies the basic criteria for notability. On this basis it is likely that this draft, without significant improvements and referencing, will ultimately be deleted as well. Dan arndt (talk) 04:51, 1 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • This is good article. And all references are true. Therefore I think this article must put into Article space. And also I checked this article all references and all details that all are true and reliability information. Therefore this article is very good and must go to Article main space. Thank you. • Continuing to remove maintenance templates from the reference on Draft:JanindU Mahesh is likely to result in your account being blocked from editing. As I identified above there are a number of issues with the sources that you have cited in the article which need to be addressed before the maintenance tags are able to be removed. Hello, I'm Shellwood. I noticed that in this edit to Lahiru Perera, you removed all the content without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, I restored the page's content. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Shellwood (talk) 12:36, 5 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Janindu mahesh requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
