Thommy Berggren

[edit]

Hi. Thanks for your additions to this article, however, please don't just replace the existing content with completly new text. The info you've added has replaced existing good content and removed references. If you want to add references, look at the existing format. Note that information sourced from other Wikipedia's (such as the Swedish one you're using) is not allowable, nor is anything sourced from IMDB. Thanks. Lugnuts (talk) 19:03, 7 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I just joined Wiki. I attempted to update Thommy Berggren's page without an account, but I just created one to make my updates easier and to talk with you because you keep removing my content. I did try to integrate what I wrote, but it ended up under "external links". I thought that might be okay because I didn't want to remove what you did. However, since my additions kept being removed I couldn't find any other way to integrate without removing what you had done. I am still working on this. I will undo my last edit and re-work what I wrote to add to your information without replacing it. I will also remove IMDB. I only used that because I am sourcing from a documentary film. I will work this out, but please don't keep erasing everything that I do. MissJulie 79 (talk) 19:10, 7 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I fixed up my submission a lot. I understand that you and Wiki in general strive for accuracy and correct formatting. I apologize for any trouble that I have caused you and for being a big old crab and pain in the butt. I just wanted to expand the page. I think it's "okay" for now, but I know that I still need to fix some things. I will do so tomorrow. I am kindly requesting with all respect that you please do not remove everything that I have already done, as I lose my edits when you do and have to start all over with my original bio. I appreciate your desire to keep things correct and verifiable. Thank you. MissJulie 79 (talk) 20:39, 7 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Finished article- I hope that it is okay. Let me know if anything else looks wrong and I will fix it. Thanks for your patience with me. MissJulie 79 (talk) 17:33, 8 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

That looks great - nice work! Lugnuts (talk) 18:08, 8 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you! Take care MissJulie 79 (talk) 18:17, 8 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I have placed Thommy Berggren's page under construction per the suggestion of fellow Wikipedia editor DocTree. I am working on sectioning the article. I have also added a tiny bit of extra information and added Wiki links where needed. I am planning on finishing this up tomorrow. Until then I will leave the "under construction" template up. If there are any glaring errors that I have made, please let me know here and I will be certain to correct them. Thanks! MissJulie 79 (talk) 21:02, 15 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

In response to your feedback

[edit]

If you believe you are in the right start a discussion on the article talk page rather than getting into an edit war. If that fails there are dispute resolution proceedures.

Charles (talk) 21:56, 7 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Charles- Thanks for the feedback. I did open a discussion on the talk page with the editor who was removing my submission and I think that we reached an agreement. I have taken note of what I was doing wrong and I am in the process of fixing my submission. Hopefully it will be okay. MissJulie 79 (talk) 00:01, 8 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Nice work on Thommy Berggren - Ready for a bit more?

[edit]

I saw your introduction at the Teahouse and took a look at your work. Very nice work for a newcomer. I'm especially impressed that you worked out a disagreement with a more experienced editor, resulting in an improved article for Wikipedia.

For successfully working through a series of setbacks after making your first edits and greatly improving and expanding the article Thommy Berggren DocTree (talk) 23:14, 9 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Now a new challenge: Look at another actor's article (I chose Alec Baldwin as an example). Articles are easier to read if broken up into logical sections. Sections also help readers find specific information so they don't have to read the whole article. Can you edit the Thommy Berggren article to divide it into logical sections? While you're working on it, put {{under construction}} at the top of the article and save it. That will put a notice to everyone that you are working on the article so that a recent change patroller doesn't think that your work might be vandalism as you move things around.

When you finish organizing the article, nominate it for Good Article review. I think it'll make it. If you have any questions or need help, drop by the Teahouse. Best of everything to you and yours, DocTree (talk) 23:14, 9 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Doc Tree- Thank you for your kind compliment, I am very honored that you took the time to check out the work that I did on Thommy Berggren's article and that you found it satisfactory. I'd actually like to break his article down into sections, and I even thought of doing so while I was working on expanding it, but I wasn't sure how to and since I was having a bit of a rocky start with editing I thought it best to just attempt to expand it and nothing more.
I'm not sure if my biography even contains enough information to be sectioned the way that Alec Baldwin's is, but I am certain that I could dig up a few more sources to expand it. This may take me some time, since I'll have to learn how to do this. Is there a time limit for working on an article and submitting it to the good article review that you mentioned? Thanks for the help, the suggestions, and the compliment! Take care MissJulie 79 (talk) 04:22, 10 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Going to start work on sectioning with a bit of expansion this week. MissJulie 79 (talk) 20:00, 13 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
There is no time limit on nominating an article for good article status. When it's ready, nominate it (and it looks ready; nice work!). There's a rather long and detailed Wikipedia:Guide for nominating good articles if you care to read it but reading the GA page gives you all the information you need.
A great way to learn about the GA process is to review an article. The backlog of articles awaiting review is huge. Two of the oldest are about foreign actors, one from Chile and one from Indonesia. If you prefer some help with reviewing your first GA nominated article, I'll spend a bit of time working with you .
When you find the time (or need a break) have some FUN fixing up your userpage. Can you speak, read and write in a language other than English? Adding appropriate babel userboxes will automagically add you to the lists of editors who can help with translation or check a source in a foreign language. For now, take care, DocTree (talk) 17:43, 17 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Doc Tree- Thanks for the answer. I would have replied sooner, but for some reason I wasn't alerted that I had a new message waiting for me. I have looked over the GA page and I am hoping to nominate my finished article soon. I'd also like to review articles as you suggested, but it looks as if I will need some time to learn how. I do understand Swedish, so I will look into adding this to my page as well. Thank you for all of your help and advice! Take care MissJulie 79 (talk) 04:26, 23 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

By the way, I see that the article needs to be nominated on the talk page. I have located this page, but I don't see anyway to modify it so that I can add the required html to nominate it. Thanks again. MissJulie 79 (talk) 04:30, 23 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I found out how to edit the talk page:) Thank you MissJulie 79 (talk) 00:45, 24 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I thought sure I made some fixes, I guess I didn't save them I tried again.--SPhilbrick(Talk) 12:00, 17 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Wow! Thank you so much! You made the fixes that I needed, and I can see what you did and I now know how to do it as well! Your help is very appreciated! MissJulie 79 (talk) 18:47, 17 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry it took me so long to respond to your post on my user page. I'm glad you got it all fixed. Reviewer

[edit]

Hello MissJulie, I have reviewed the nomination of Thommy Berggren as GA nominee, i have added some points you need to read up and work related to them A Great User 07:59, 1 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Great User- I removed this article from review. I am not certain what is wrong with some of the issues that you pointed out, but it's clear that the page must need a lot of work, far more than can be done in time for a review. So, I have decided to head back to work on it for the time being. Once cleaned up I may try a nomination again. I'll see. But for now I'd like to just work on making it better, as having a good article for Thommy Berggren was my main goal in the first place. Another user suggested that I nominate it, so I did, but honestly I just wanted to write a decent article. I'll head back to work on it this weekend. Thanks again for your help! MissJulie 79 (talk) 08:19, 3 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I appreciate your work in the article, but Note for complete References following things are important: Title, Publisher, Accessdate and if appropriate Publication date and other(s), some of refs are incomplete, Please do these works and do some more works, Then Re-nominate the article for GA i will review and pass, Thank You Greatuser (t@lk)My edits 14:09, 6 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Will you allow me to become your partner in the article to fix the errors?, if so then i will help to improve more and more, and to make your work easier. Greatuser (t@lk)My edits 14:19, 6 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Great User- Thank you so much for your offer to help! I appreciate it a lot. However I do know what needs attention, another user "Thine antique pen" pointed out all of the areas that needed more citations, and I already revised that. I still need to fix up the references, I have been busy and haven't gotten to them yet, but I plan to this week. I'm not really interested in making the article a GA nominee again, as I said I only did this because another user suggested it to me and I went along, but it's not that important to me. In fact it had been sitting and waiting for review for so long that I had forgotten that it was nominated until your message the other day! My main goal was just to expand the article and make it a good one. Thank you again, and if I do need any help or if I have any questions I will be sure to ask! Take care MissJulie 79 (talk) 06:40, 8 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
