Welcome[edit]

Hi Mjchesnel, and welcome to Wikipedia!

My name is Λuα and I have been on Wikipedia for sometime now. I have been wandering around when I saw your name and decided to drop by to see if you need help with Wikipedia. I have also attached this list of some links that might help you:

You should also note that you have to sign your comments by using four of those ~ at the end of your messages (i.e. ~~~~, this will simply place your user name and date; see my signature at the end of this message as an example.)
Please do not hesitate to contact me should you have a question or require help with Wikipedia, you can leave me a new message here.
P.S. Some new users find editing Wikipedia a bit difficult at first, but it only seems this way. In fact it is quite easy to get used to editing it and actually finding that enjoyable ! :)
Good luck! :)

This article has improved significantly since its creation, and it's a pretty decent article now.

Congrats on a job well done.

Cheers mate!

Tarr Steps & bats[edit]

Hi, Thanks for all your contributions to Tarr Steps. I have wikified some of it although some references are still needed - but I could ask you to check the bat species you listed. I can't find "barbastrelle bat", could it be Pipistrellus the Pipistrelle bat?— Rod talk 20:06, 7 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I am new to all this so bare with me please! Barbastelle Bat (Barbastella barbastellus) - http://www.worlddeer.org/britishbats/barbastelle.html - please help me give this web site as a reference

Done - see Wikipedia:Citing sources for more on how to do this.— Rod talk 15:50, 8 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

where you have put citation needed after the quote from the Exmoor park web site can we not put the web site as a citation ie www.exmoor-nationalpark.gov.uk - information on Tarr Steps floods. I'm afraid that I have yet to realy understand how to create citations and footnotes or I would have done it myself. Hope this helps Mjchesnel (talk) 12:41, 8 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks - I've added the citation for that one.— Rod talk 15:32, 8 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

thanks for your help with the references. I had previously read Wikipedia:Citing sources and franky got a headache. Not least as there is more than one way of giving references and the syntax is computer speak but little by little as I look at examples of how others do it I think I am getting the if of it Mjchesnel (talk) 16:11, 8 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

One of the advantages of not having many supporters at your RFA is that there are fewer people to thank at the end. Thanks for your support and your willingness to look at my complete record. I'm going to try to interpret this resounding defeat as a statement that I should choose my words more carefully in the future, and remember that every statement I make gets recorded forever, just waiting to get carefully transcribed onto my next RFA. I would go insane if I believed that it was repudiation of what I truly meant: that no editor should consciously and willfully ignore guidelines and policies, and editors that repeatedly do so should not be rewarded for or supported in doing so.

I'm sure I'll get back to full speed editing soon, because, after all, , every day, and in every way, I am getting better and better.—Kww(talk) 05:39, 9 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Mitterrand and the far right, and it appears to be very similar to another wikipedia page: Mitterand and the far right. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. RfA thanks[edit]

Thank you for participating in my RfA, which recently passed with 126 in support, 22 in opposition and 6 neutral votes.

Thanks for your neutral vote in my RFA! When I "templated" the users that you brought up in my RFA the templates were not the same for all of the users. I tried to send out the message in an easy and understandable way to all of the users while trying not to be to templatey. Due to the amount of people I sent the message to not using templates would be impractical. If would probably have taken a longer than me writing out all of these RFA thank spams :)
If you want to reply to this message please use my talk page as watch listing about 150 pages is a bit messy

Website builder article[edit]

Michael, I saw you are one of the top-contributors to the current Website builder article. There has been quite a bit of criticism on the article's discussion page with several people saying the article needs improvement. I've decided to set time aside for a thorough edit and rewrite. The new article is up as a subpage to my userpage; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Skcommunity/Draft_rewrite_Website_builder. I'd like to invite you to contribute there as well so we can improve the current Website builder article. Thanks!

The article Mediatonic has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Poorly referenced and overly promotional. Notability unclear.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
