"Bell System" & Holmdel Bell Labs[edit]
The first sentence says "The Bell Labs Holmdel Complex, in Holmdel Township, New Jersey, United States, functioned for forty-four years as a research and development facility, initially for the Bell System and later Bell Labs."
This is misleading. The building was designed and used for Bell Labs which was part of Bell System at the time. Western Electric, the hardware manufacturing part of the Bell System may have been the owner and may have been invovled in the construction, but it was always a Bell Labs building in the beginning. I was there in the early days, but don't have sources to cite for this.
