Poetry[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, please do not add promotional material to articles or other Wikipedia pages, as you did to Poetry. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" is against Wikipedia policy and not permitted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. Hi Jack, I have no idea whether this message will reach you or not, as I have not used this feature before, but I hope it does. If you follow the link I added, you will see that it is to a non-profit, scholarly project with zero cost to users. I added the link to it because I believe it to be of genuine cultural and intellectual interest to readers of the entry on poetry. If you have removed it, I would be grateful if you would change it back. I do not see how you could possibly object to it.

All best wishes,

Martin

Hi Martin, your message got through to me. Thanks for your contributions. I added a welcome note at the top of your talk page here, which I suggest you read, as all new users should. And also, since you are adding links, may I suggest that you see Wikipedia:Manual of Style (linking) and WP:MOS, and if you still feel that the link should be added after seeing these pages, please feel free to do so. Also, when adding a message to a talk page, you should add it at the bottom of the talk page. If you need any help, please feel free to message me. Thanks. Jack?! 23:12, 5 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Messages[edit]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. -- Jack?! 21:02, 6 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
