Friendly reminder

[edit]

Wikipedia is not a repository of links, a directory, or free space to promote or advertise a website (among other things--and at least in principle, anyway; see WP:NOT). The specific page links you are adding to articles also appear to be non-functioning at this time, which makes it impossible to appraise their relevance to the article in question. This is why your links are being removed. Ripogenus77 21:53, 23 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I fixed the ones that weren't working, the links are relevant Mlynnsoucy

Re: New Hampshire, etc.

[edit]

You will find that many people here consider placing links to the same website (especially one that you created) in multiple articles to be an automatic red flag for spam, regardless of the intent (it's written into the WP:SPAM policy, in fact). I hope you understand that things you add, I add, or anyone else adds to Wikipedia can be deleted or changed by anyone, and we accept that and don't get upset over it. If there ends up being a consensus that your links should be included, then I will accept that. But I strongly doubt that will be the case.

In any case...

I apologize for the presumption that you are engaging in MLM spamming (and for inadvertently upsetting you), but I called it as I saw it. I stand by my changes. You are equally free to revert those changes at any time. I appreciate that you DO appear to have made productive contributions to Wikipedia. You're a good writer, and I hope that you might familarize yourself a little more with Wikipedia's policies, style guidelines, and editing culture and continue to contribute to Wikipedia in accordance with that. He deletes all the legitimate information I put on here. He's following me. How do I report him? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Thehutch86 (talkcontribs) .

Rocky Gorge proposal for deletion

[edit]

I've added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Rocky Gorge New Hampshire, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues at Talk:Rocky Gorge New Hampshire. You may remove the {{dated prod}} template, and the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached.
