Do not express ownership

Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to Wikipedia. However, please remember that editors do not own articles and should respect the work of their fellow contributors on Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University. If you create or edit an article, remember that others are free to change its content.

Thank you for not copying the university website verbatim. Copyright was the most serious problem with the article, but there are a number of other ways in which it deviates from Wikipedia policies, guidelines, and best practices. For the following reasons I have reapplied the non-copyright related changes you reverted:

• The Manual of Style sets guidelines, rooted in neutral point of view policy, for how to refer to people.
  • Honorifics, such as Honourable are not to be used in articles, see WP:HONORIFIC
  • Academic titles, such as Advocate, Prof., or Dr. are not to be used in articles, see WP:CREDENTIAL

• WikiProject Universities publishes article guidelines explaining how to structure articles about universities and how to write about them.
  • A "Campus" section should describe the location of the university and its important buildings and facilities.
  • An "Academics" section should describe the number of degrees/programs offered and top-level academic divisions (faculties/schools/colleges). It should not describe every degree, program of study, or department.

These guidelines can be seen in action in any featured article about a university, such as: Dartmouth College, Duke University, Georgetown University, Michigan State University, Ohio Wesleyan University, Oriel College, Oxford, Texas A&M University, Texas Tech University, University of California, Riverside, and University of Michigan.

• The above guidelines are in part grounded in policy about what Wikipedia is not, which has further provisions.
  • Including contact information, such as phone and fax numbers, is inappropriate, see WP:NOTDIRECTORY.

Remember that other editors are here to improve Wikipedia, and Wikipedia does not exist to merely echo what any organization has to say about itself.
