Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from 21 Magazine, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. Happysailor (Talk) 20:39, 19 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:21magCaterina.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Kevin (talk) 01:48, 20 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You may be able to claim fair use if the image meets on of the criteria, but whatever you do, the public domain tag cannot remain as it is. Please ask here if you need more info. Kevin (talk) 01:55, 20 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

What ever happens to these wiki-rules?

Hey guys, I am working on this site, help me ...please relax on the deletion process, get up from your computer and do a 30 minute cardio workout or something, thanks! Modelmanager (talk) 01:44, 21 October 2009 (UTC)Modelmanager[reply]

I have nominated 21 Magazine, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/21 Magazine. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Orange Mike | Talk 04:10, 20 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to the page 21 Magazine. Such edits constitute vandalism and are reverted. Please do not continue to make unconstructive edits to pages; use the sandbox for testing. Thank you.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 22:06, 20 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, 2 people have asked you not to remove the deletion notice. You need to add your opinion at the deletion debate here - Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/21 Magazine. If you remove the note again, you will likely be blocked from editing. Kevin (talk) 22:15, 20 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not vandalize pages, as you did with this edit to 21 Magazine. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 22:21, 20 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hangon tag

[edit]

I have removed this a couple of times because it lists the page as a candidate for speedy deletion, which is the opposite of your intention. As I've said, if you want to offer your opinion on keeping or deleting this article, you need to go to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/21 Magazine and make your argument. Kevin (talk) 01:57, 21 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on 21 Magazine, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Please do not attack other editors, as you did at User talk:Athaenara. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. --Orange Mike | Talk 20:16, 21 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

FYI conflict of interest guideline

[edit]

If you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia in 21 Magazine or other articles, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. For more details about what, exactly, constitutes a conflict of interest, please see our conflict of interest guidelines. Thank you. — Athaenara 03:27, 22 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Your on Notice

[edit]

I can help you on writing it, if you could write it in a less promotional manner. Take a look at what you've written on 21 Magazine earlier:

It sounds more promotional than informative. Had it been done with less puffery, it could have survived speedy deletion, but without expanding it, it cannot get through a deletion nomination. What about trying to research about its history, circulation, and notable contributors? It could enhance the article a bit. Just be sure to back everything you write with reputable sources that are relevant to the subject. Please see this article about TIME Magazine for you to have an idea what you should write and try to pattern 21 Magazine after it. Alexius08 (talk) 13:21, 22 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
