RfAr against Mcfly85[edit]

I'm about to bring a WP:RfAr against Mcfly85 to ask the ArbCom for an emergency injunction on this issue. Please add any comments there (properly formatted) if you wish. --Nlu (talk) 04:16, 17 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

SWD316, this is Mcfly85, I'm so sorry for all of this. I think you are a great editor, you deserve to be a mod, I'm sorry for all of this, I hope you become a mod. You are dedicated to this site. I hope everything works out. 63.18.160.93 04:26, 17 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Your RfA (3rd time)[edit]

Of course I didn't take anything you said personally. As far as I'm concerned, this is all business. I think what you need to do is trust that the rest of us know what we're doing. A nomination for adminship is stressful and it's understandable that people can get carried away, but if you want to succeed as an admin, you have to let it slide and assume good faith for the most part. As for Mcfly85 removing the <del> tags, I believe he's allowed to do that since he himself is not a sockpuppet nor has he been blocked. Again, that's something you should trust the bureaucrats to recognize. FYI, User:Mo0 who just got his adminship approved, is also bipolar according to his user page. Perhaps you should contact him and see how he handles it. Good luck and if you don't succeed this time, I hope you don't give up. howcheng [ t • c • w • e ] 07:16, 17 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Apology[edit]

Thank you for the apology, and I, in turn, apologize for any aggressive comments I may have made during your RfA. Olorin28 12:13, 17 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

RfA[edit]

SWD316, I appreciate you sincere explanation of yourself on my talk page. I don't doubt that you edit in nothing but good faith. However, I'm going to let my opposition stand. I'm sorry about the harrassment you received from Mcfly85, but I just think Wikipedia's administrator corps is getting more and more immature, and cannot in good conscience support the candidacy of someone who uses "gay" as a pejorative. Regards, TacoDeposit 15:29, 17 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, but at that time I'm going to oppose your nomination. The sockpuppets in the previous RfA were obvious (red linked users with few edits) and any bureaucrat would've ignored them, but you went all crazy. That's something I don't expect from an admin candidate. You need to learn to deal with bad users in a more professional manner. Grue 17:27, 17 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't call you crazy. But your reaction to previous RfA was crazy. Grue 21:49, 17 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

My RFA[edit]

Thank you for your support. While I beleive it will not result in my nomination being granted, I appreciate it nonetheless and I will not forget it. Please think of me when I run again.Gator (talk) 20:12, 17 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

It wouldn't be a good idea to block the IPs, because the IPs could be dynamic, and then someone else would be blocked as a result of another user's abuse. As for the accounts, I would only tag those that participated in your RfA or that show editing patterns similar to McFly85. Titoxd(?!? - did you read this?) 19:52, 18 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Your RfA[edit]

I am extremely sorry your RfA isn't going too well. At least now your slate will be wiped clean, and you'll get it the next time (hopefully). Don't give up. «LordViD» 22:37, 18 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Your RFA[edit]

You have absolutely no need to apologise to me: I know you are a good editor and as long as I continue to believe that I will vote in support for you even if I'm standing alone. I'm a stubborn bastard, you see. -- Francs2000 22:45, 18 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

No need to apologise to me either. I should be apologising to you for not being around for the first RfA and helping deal with the sockpuppets. the wub "?!" 23:07, 18 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

RfA[edit]

I'd be happy to support, and even nominate for Adminship in February, when this deal is forgotten. Just giving you the heads up. Sceptre (Talk) 23:00, 18 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Credibility[edit]

Wait till you see what I've just created and see what you say about admin credibility then... On the more serious side though it seems to me it's time to just draw a line under this experience and try again in a few months, as lots of people have said. Don't let one person drag you down. -- Francs2000 02:02, 19 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Your RfA's[edit]

I know you've had a hard time at WP:RfA lately. Although your nominations didn't pass, your contributions to Wikipedia are still greatly appreciated, and I encourage you to continue editing without admin tools. If you address the issues raised by the oppose voters, you should probably stand a chance for promotion in a few months. --TantalumTelluride 22:45, 19 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Your RfA[edit]

What all of the others said. You've still got my support on take four. ナイトスタリオン 22:51, 19 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Keep your chin up and don't let the negative comments on the RfA overwhelm the good work you are doing. You still had more support than oppose votes. Continue to earn the support votes and try your best not to give new arguments to the oppose votes. If you do that, and still want the extra tools, they will eventually be yours. -- DS1953 talk 23:13, 19 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Could you take a look?[edit]

Hi, sorry to hear about your RfA, It was a big mess, I'd be glad to change my vote on your next one if you keep on your current path. With that said, I was wondering if you could take a look at something involving the Randy Orton article. If you could have a look at this discussion and then have a look at this comment I would appreciate it. If my arguement has no merit I'd like to know in order to avoid a potential conflict over something so trivial. Thanks KnowledgeOfSelf | talk 23:25, 19 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, SWD, sorry I didn't respond earlier—I've been on a bit of a Wikibreak. And I'm sorry to see that your nomination did not succeed. RfA can be quite a harsh place, but I'm glad you were able to take criticism well; we all benefit from feedback and hopefully you can pick up a few tips for next time. I'll send you a more detailed message later, but I just wanted to say you're a good editor and I'm glad you're still contributing to Wikipedia. — Knowledge Seeker 21:13, 20 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

User page[edit]

It's a bit long and could do with a picture of you (brown hair and blue eyes really does it for me). Otherwise I like the scroll boxes - might nick that myself. Also the biography section is particularly good - easy to read. -- Francs2000 01:19, 21 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed from Category:Wikipedians in Florida that you are a floridian and I have created a state wikiproject, Wikipedia:WikiProject Florida. So far is it very small but it could be expanded later. Join it if you want and help make it grow, set tasks etc. Thanks. --Jaranda wat's sup 04:35, 21 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Userpage[edit]

Howdy, sorry for taking some time to reply but I've been without internet access for a few days. I think you userpage looks just fine, albeit a little long. If I were you, I would trim down the month by month wikipedia history, but it is your page. Otherwise, it looks great. I didnt fall for the "new messages" prank because I always hold my mouse over the link (unless I see the box at the top of an article) to see where it goes. Anyway I clicked on it all the same.... Conversations[edit]

I am interested in copying the code to get what you have on the top of your talk page, but I will be placing mine in a sub-topic or perhaps a sub/section. User:AlMac|(talk) 03:52, 24 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the humor. I found where you got the headings, by using the Search. I see that it individually lists the urls. What I was looking for was a "what links here" that was limited to User Talk pages (like the search engine can limit that way} except that would be dynamically updated as I have conversaions with more folks. User:AlMac|(talk) 04:02, 24 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

If you would be so kind as to point me to how you did it, if in fact it is some kind of automated thing, I may figure out how to thank you properly.

new User:AlMac|(talk) message[edit]

To restate myself. I saw that on the top you had a chunk of links to other Wiki people talk pages where you had had conversations with them & I thought "Cool, I want to do that also on my talk pages" and "How does SWD316 do that?" so I noodled around what I could find, that I have learned so far how to do on Wiki, and I could not see how you did it, other than manually maintaining, which is more work than justified for the value of this thing.

So, if there is a way that you set this up, and it automatically stays current like the stuff in Toolbox user contributions not need us to update anything, it always there, that is what I would like to learn from you. There is no urgency here. It is just something that I thought was excessively cool.

I have on my watch list, connections to various user talk pages, where I have forgotten why ... I might not need there any more. I thought this might be a nice alternative and also feed concept of friends of friends with similar interests. User:AlMac|(talk) 15:39, 24 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks but let's not[edit]

I can create you one of those headings if you want one. NO, there is no way to automatically do it. You have to do it manually if you want it.

Thanks anyway, let's not do this. I am humongously behind on maintaining other stuff that is far more important. It was a nice idea, but now it is time to move on. User:AlMac|(talk) 17:49, 24 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

WWE divas[edit]

Could you help me here, on the List of WWE Divas page Wwfanz is so certain that Sara Calaway and Marissa McMahon are divas. I think they should be removed because Marissa has never been classed as a diva never appeared on Raw or Smackdown only ever appeared on Livewire, she works in public relations. Sara Calaway hasnt been involved with the wwe in over 3years and hasnt appeared since the ending of the storyline she was involved in. Why are they still included and classes as divas?

RfA thanks from Deathphoenix[edit]

Hi SWD316,

I just wanted to thank you for supporting me in my RfA. To tell you the truth, I was surprised by all the support I've gotten. I never saw myself as more than an occasional Wiki-hobbyist.

My wife sends her curses, as Wikipedia will likely suck up more of my time. She jokingly (I think) said she was tempted to log on to Wikipedia just to vote Oppose and let everyone know that she didn't want her husband to be an admin.

I'll make sure your trust in me is founded. --Deathphoenix 15:07, 28 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding Chadbryant[edit]

I must say, young man, that you have most likely made a very big mistake by inviting Chadbryant to contribute to your wrasslin' project. He is a control freak and bully who will pull political strings and engage in behind the scenes machinations to accomplish his self-serving ends. Chadbryant has proven many times over to be a cancer upon anything or anyone he comes in contact with. Just ask Alex Cain, Beth Frindell, or any of his many former employers. Captain Spinkicker

Thanks for the note. I fixed it up earlier just because I noticed that many of the inactive members were in reality very active. I mean, one can't get more active than Theresa knott! Let me be the first (well, second to Titoxd) to welcome you back to Esperanza! Cheers, Bratschetalk | Esperanza 22:27, 29 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I have removed User:OSJ's rubbish from your page. Doctoring someone else's comment to add in a new allegation pretending to be them is a serious issue IMHO and I'll be issuing a warning to OSJ about it. FearÉIREANN\(caint) 00:07, 30 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hitching Your Cart to Chadbryant Is a Bad Idea[edit]

Chadbryant is a pox upon humanity and aligning yourself with this bloated blunderbuss will bring with it many difficulties. There is a reason Chadbryant has developed such a large number of adversaries: he has committed numerous acts of cyber malfeasance, leaving many damaged reputations and egos in his wake.

Unfortunately, I see that you have already adopted one Chadism: making unfounded, libelous claims of sockpuppetry. Obviously, the cancer of Chad is beginning to take hold of your own online behaviour.

Young man, I implore you to disengage yourself with Chadbryant posthaste. Believe me, in the long run, it will save you many headaches. Just ask Beth Frindell. Captain Spinkicker

See the "Note For Admins" on my talk page. Chadbryant 03:17, 30 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]
The "Note For Admins" doesn't mean bubkis, my poor porcine person. Your use of that external link negates ANY validation that you may wish to portray while on Wikipedia; even several long-time admins on here have said that your site is "questionable." For you to try to pass yourself off as the victim once again only screams of your antisocial antics, and I for one am disgusted (though not surprised) that you would even attempt to do so by now. I would reccomend that you leave Wikipedia on your own accord for a few weeks, which would allow all of the chaos to die down. A quick, quiet return would be what is necessary at this point, but then again, given your behavior, I would hesitate to say you have the ability for self-control or an unbiased attitude in any form. Thar She Blows 03:41, 30 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

You've obviously decided to bed down with Chadbryant. Let the fun and games begin!!! Captain Spinkicker
