Kind of back?

Kind of back is better than 'not back at all'. Your good friend "you know who" returned after realising his main IP was past it's 6 months block. I asked Admin Daniel for assistance. His case was re-opened and his IPs blocked for another 6 months. Look at the edit history of Iron Maiden... particularly at the edits of Mr Hooks21101 from early in November. He became a bit of a comic relief moment around here. Especially his comments on my static IP talk page. I have expressed concern to Daniel about 2 other editors. One who's been frequenting Phish related articles. And the other who has been editing the List of Iron Maiden band members article recently. Have a minute... picture question

And... since I have your attention... Mr Fnlayson ( normally a quality editor ) is having a bit of a struggle with WP:FAIR over on the Lynyrd Skynyrd article. It's a standard "album covers aren't fair-use here" situation. I added very clear edit summaries to help him to understand but he hasn't read the policy thoroughly and does not understand it correctly. I have been away for awhile, so I may be rusty here, but here is my thoughts on the logos: I personally do not see the purpose of logos for lesser-known subjects. Popular logos, such as the one for Google.com, should be used, but when it comes to bands and such, I find their inclusion nothing more than vanity. I find the inclusion of self-made logos even more disconcerting, since it is bordering line copyright infringement. Looking through WP:FU and WP:LOGOS (which is just a guideline) seems to come to the same conclusion. Also, if there is no firm, discernible, well-used logo for a band and this user has just made up logo images in order to make the article stand out (in lieu of a band photo), then I think the images are even less helpful to Wikipedia and would break policy (WP:FU). Anyway, that is all mostly my opinion. My suggestion would be to bring the topic up for discussion at WP:FU or WP:LOGOS or, if you don't think you will get a fair shake due to IP-bias, look for someone in those talk pages that seem knowledgeable enough and contact them directly (Perhaps even User:Betacommand, though he is often busy). I haven't been too active recently because I'm finishing a Master's degree but I'll have some more free time coming up. I will probably spend some time cleaning up equipment articles since many of them read like adverts or contain no useful information.

We have a lot of great people working on the project, including professional guitarists and even luthiers. We have the potential to write a lot of great articles. Image copyright problem with Image:AP-TiS.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:AP-TiS.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's escription page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Digital Terrestrial Television in Ireland

You have stated that the article appears to contradict itself. In fact that does not appear to be so from my reading. The article relates to 2 periods. First the 2001 period where an attempted DTT never got off the ground. The 2nd is the 2 year trial which is in effect the beginning of the DTT rollout since RTE NL will also be involved in renting carriage to the commercial DTT company due to be shortly decided. What I said:

Hi! I think they might be two different books, but I'm not sure.Anyway in my book it's on page 226 (2008 edition) and it's not quite an entry, but just a picture on a page that explains telescoping bolts, with few explanations of the weapon itself, so that's why there's not much on the wiki page.   • Usually, unless I feel very strongly about a page, I will step away for a couple of days before nominating for further deletion. However, if you feel the need to do so, your first option is to PROD the page, followed by sending it to Articles for Deletion discussion.
  1. By putting {{subst:prod|YOUR REASON HERE}} on the page, someone will need to rectify your complaint of the page. If, after five days no one does OR doesn't removes the PROD template, the page will be deleted. At this stage, anyone can remove the PROD template if they feel the page meets requirements, even without an explanation.
  2. Your next avenue after that would be nominating it for deletion through WP:AFD; that is a bit more in-depth so I suggest reading up about it at WP:AFD and/or Wikipedia:DELETE#Processes. If you need to go to that level, feel free to come back for help.

Incorrect

You recently made an incorrect comment to RMHED (talk · contribs), specifically, this edit where you say "While it is true that non-admins may close WP:AFD discussion, this is not so for speedy requests."
