Welcome Aboard

[edit]

Welcome Aboard! Wikipedia has a Library Intern support page at: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Education_Program:The_Wikipedia_Library/Wikipedia_Library_Interns_(Summer_2015) Please add yourself as a student there, too. TeriEmbrey (talk) 15:35, 27 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! I'll be sure to look it over and sign up. MohnJcIntyre (talk) 15:39, 27 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Ted Karamanski has given talks at PMML as well as at other institutions. You should search PMML's website and you can use the program pages as citation references for his background.

He has also written extensively for journals, etc. See the articles for Max Hastings and Elliot Ackerman for examples on how to handle writing for journals etc. TeriEmbrey (talk) 17:50, 27 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Biography articles

[edit]

When working on biography articles, be sure to add the category:living person to the bottom of the article page.

You should also be sure to give the ISBNs and OCLC numbers for their books. You can get that information from here: http://pritzkermilitarylibrary.worldcat.org/ Adding the ISBNs and OCLC numbers allows people to go from the Wikipedia article to libraries that hold the item.

Can you go back and do that for Karamanaski and Page?

Keep up the good work! Your articles are filling out nicely! TeriEmbrey (talk) 16:32, 28 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Will do, Teri! MohnJcIntyre (talk) 16:41, 28 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Is what I added the sort of thing your looking for? MohnJcIntyre (talk) 17:02, 28 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Almost. It's ISBN not ISNB. I fixed the ones you added. Do you see what I did differently? TeriEmbrey (talk) 17:11, 28 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Haha, woops. Yes I see now, thanks. MohnJcIntyre (talk) 17:35, 28 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

FYI I mentioned you at Talk:Benjamin_Page and ping to User:FoCuSandLeArN as well, for what it's worth. Biosthmors (talk) pls notify me (i.e. {{U}}) while signing a reply, thx 14:21, 5 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Biosthmors: What's the matter? FoCuS contribs; talk to me! 18:06, 5 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the ping and the reply. FYI, I updated and specified the concern here (it was a conflict-of-interest violation of our external links practices). I just thought you should know, in case similar scenarios present themselves in the future. Best wishes. Biosthmors (talk) pls notify me (i.e. {{U}}) while signing a reply, thx 16:42, 6 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
