St Chad's lifespan

[edit]

Could you please note that two of us have altered this infobox back to no value for Chad's lifespan. This is not because your maths is wrong but because the age of birth given is a guess. So it makes no sense to calculate his age at death with a precision of one year. The age of birth is given with the qualification circa to make this clear. It was I who introduced the original educated guess, based on the reasonable, but not proven assumption, that he would have been about 30 when he appears first as a priest in 664. Someone might well challenge this, although it is introduced in the text very much as a guess, and so better than nothing, which is the alternative. Information icon Hello, I'm Arthur Rubin. An edit that you recently made to 2012 seemed to be a test and has been removed. If you want more practice editing, please use the sandbox. If you think a mistake was made, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. In spite of efforts by disruptive editors, there is still the requirement that, for births and deaths in year articles, there must be a Wikipedia article about the person. That being said, I wouldn't oppose an entry in Events if more information were added.Arthur Rubin (talk) 17:50, 4 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
