Hi MongolWiki! According to your contributions I find you probably have knowledge about Mongolian history. But please also note that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and not really a fan site; we should try to hold a Neutral point of view (as mentioned in the welcome template above) and worldwide view (instead of local [e.g. Mongolian] view). People who have knowledge about certain subject may also try to help maintain the quality of related pages according to the guideline of Wikipedia and help solve problems. Thanks! --173.206.65.134 (talk) 22:54, 24 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You are right that it should reflect the "worldwide view instead of Mongolian view". But please give an example of MongolWiki's "Mongolian views" which could not be accepted. Basically I thought that the "worldwide view" is made up of many different views including "Mongolian", "Russian", "American", "Japanese", etc. and exits on their balance. Correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks! Gantuya eng (talk) 03:16, 26 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Gantuya eng, have not seen you for some time. But he probably knows what I mean. In fact, just see what the name "MongolWiki" stands for. He (including when he edited as IP users) for example made massive changes of templates, such as in Zunghar Khanate. I have not undone or changed any of them, but just a quick and friendly note to him that it's better not to make such large-scale changes in articles without proper discussions. --173.206.65.134 (talk) 01:23, 27 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, everyone. Thanks for your suggestion. I think I understand you told me. MongolWiki (talk)

Naming conventions[edit]

Stop moving pages around! You have started a discussion at Wikipedia_talk:Naming_conventions_(Mongolian), and there is no consensus at English Wikipedia to use MNS 5217:2003; until changed by consensus, “Naming conventions (Mongolian)” is what you are to follow! G Purevdorj (talk) 10:20, 3 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Moreover, you have no right to replace Middle Mongolian, Inner Mongolian or other non-Khalkha forms with their Khalkha equivalents! G Purevdorj (talk) 10:34, 3 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I left a comment in duscussion page. --MongolWiki (talk) 11:33, 3 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I told you to stop moving if you don't have consense and contravene the guidelines that have been made before. You cannot just treat transcription systems at wikipedia as your personal playground! G Purevdorj (talk) 20:03, 5 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Well, it appears you have reneged on o and u, but continued with kh > h. I might be able to live with that, and as nobody else joined into any discussion ... Still, please be consistent: you renamed a page to Monkh Saridag, which should be Mönh Saridag then. And you were even less consistent with poor Mönkh Khairkhan > Mönkh Hairhan: if you replace kh in male words, you surely must do so also in female words. G Purevdorj (talk) 10:31, 7 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello[edit]

Just wanted to let you know that I saw that you created the new article Bat Khan Mountain--It would be great if you could also Wikify the related article Tavan Bogd Uul.

Rouran[edit]

Hi, MongolWiki. Do you know common name of this article ? Takabeg (talk) 03:16, 22 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I think study of Mongolian history is continuing in Mongolia. In, 2000, used term Jou-jan, since 2005, use name Nirun. Nirun (in Modern Mongolian Нуруу) is means "human's back", because it is described in "Legend of the Ergune Khun" (Эргүнэ-Хуны домог).--MongolWiki (talk) 03:42, 22 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Chinese character transcriptions such as Juan-juan, ruan-ruan don't represent truly names. Because they divide have two or three side one name. Example, How can people understand Meng-gu is Mongol, if they known chinese transcription?--MongolWiki (talk) 03:49, 22 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you[edit]

Thank you for your contributions to article Greater Mongolia Gantuya eng (talk) 12:32, 15 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Khalkhyn Gol[edit]

You have previously moved the article on Khalkhyn Gol. The article has been proposed for moving again, see Talk:Halh River#Requested move (again). --Stefan2 (talk) 15:23, 1 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Consesnsus principle[edit]

This Wikipedia is based on a consensus principle, the naming conventions is one of this consensuses. But you, dear MongolWiki, concentrated renaming activity based on your personal decision of a different transliteration algorythm using. It will be better decision to discuss this kind of decisions with your collegues in Wikipedia, I guess. Bogomolov.PL (talk) 22:44, 5 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

'Mongol' instead of 'Mongolian language'[edit]

You've made several edits replacing 'Mongolian language' with 'Mongol'. You didn't made any comments with your motivations explanation. So what was your idea? And why you didn't discuss it with your collegues wikipedians? Bogomolov.PL (talk) 21:57, 6 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Calligraphy[edit]

It seems you're interested in calligraphy. I'm planning to create an article on Mongolian Calligraphy when I have time. Please help. Even you can create an article on Mongolian Calligraphy and then I can see whether I could add something. Gantuya eng (talk) 10:47, 18 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

naming[edit]

Hi MongolWiki! I'm actually kind of confused about the terminology regarding the term Southern Mongolia and Inner Mongolia. In general we should try to use more usual names, but what do you think in some specialist cases such as linguistics? Not to talk about other people, but the terminology itself is kind of confusing. Thanks if you could answer my question. --Chinyin (talk) 18:02, 14 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry it was my bad to do some weird stuff in the past, but they were bad ideas and should not have happened anyway. Thanks for understanding. --Chinyin (talk) 15:04, 21 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Hope you can do some more real constructive stuff as well, instead of something you know to be not quite correct, or probably knowingly do some stuff that contains centrism etc. Thanks. --Chinyin (talk) 16:05, 27 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
