Adding poorly sourced material[edit]

You were already told to seek consensus here. Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced or poorly sourced material to Wikipedia. OhNoitsJamie Talk 22:37, 28 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

My sources are not poorly sourced. Please explain the criteria more clearly because my sources are just as credible as the current sources listed for other artists on the same page. Why are their articles accepted, but actual verbal confirmation on a video listed on the articles I listed is not? Is this a personal issue that you have with the artist? If you continue to reject actual credible information, I will issue a dispute. Moniinicole (talk) 23:05, 28 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Antother performer declaring that someone has absolute pitch clearly doesn't qualify. Furthermore, you were already told on the talk page to seek a consensus, which you've ignored. If you've only come to Wikipedia to argue about things like this, I think you're going to be disappointed. OhNoitsJamie Talk 23:17, 28 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

So how do you confirm that the other artists have absolute pitch, including Charlie Puth himself? What is the criteria for determining absolute pitch? On episode 150 of “RUN BTS”, Jungkook demonstrated absolute pitch on camera. He identitied the notee correctly with no reference point, which is the current description or absolute pitch. There are articles written about this as well. Moniinicole (talk) 23:27, 28 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Once again, please seek consensus at Talk:List of people with absolute pitch. OhNoitsJamie Talk 23:30, 28 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

You never responded to my reply and are just using your personal issue with me and with the artist to reject credible information. You are abusing your role as an administrator and will be reported. Moniinicole (talk) 23:42, 28 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Since you seem to have having trouble with the concept of "seeking consensus," you've been blocked from editing that article. OhNoitsJamie Talk 01:26, 29 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

You have also been reported for administrator abuse since you seem to have a personal issue with me which is against the conduct for Wikipedia’s administrators. This issue has been escalated and I will take it all the way. I have provided multiple different sources. Including the last source, which was an article that showed the artist performing absolute pitch on camera. How can you reject obvious evidence? Did you review the last source? Or are you allowing your personal issue with me to get in the way of your administrator responsibilities? Moniinicole (talk) 01:36, 29 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I suggest reading WP:RS. The sources you've been including don't meet that criteria. To quote from your last reference: "A second BTS ARMY echoed saying, “It’s been an established fact that Jungkook really has “great ears” which explains his perfect pitch. The musical prodigy indeed!!”" A quote BTS fan being quoted in a breathless article falls a bit short. OhNoitsJamie Talk 01:46, 29 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

You clearly did not read the article or see that it was Jungkook’s actual ability to identify musical notes without any reference point on camera, which is the definition of perfect pitch. It is not the commentary of fans but the actions he performed which confirm his ability. You are showing favoritism by allowing the other artists to have sources that are not credible on the same list. Your personal dislike of me and this artist is disrupting your ability to act appropriately as an administrator, according to Wikipedia’s policies.

Here, no article, but just the evidence itself:

His actions in this video are the exact definition of absolute pitch. If you are actually interested in keeping Wikipedia updated with reliable information, then you will add him yourself to this list. Moniinicole (talk) 02:02, 29 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I am not able to post a link to the video which proves Jungkook has absolute pitch. But this is the title on YouTube: “Perfect Pitch Jungkook gets the best suite! RUN BTS 150” posted by Watermelon SUGA. https:// youtu.be/48wK52uRhf0 Moniinicole (talk) 02:05, 29 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Please read WP:RS. There's also WP:RSP which gives you some concrete examples of what is and isn't considered to be reliable. A BTS fan channel on Youtube is nowhere near being a reliable source. There's no point in discussing this further with you until take the time to read that policy link. OhNoitsJamie Talk 02:12, 29 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

You can’t possibly be serious. It is the content of the video which is the proof! You know this. I can link you to the actual variety show video itself, which is an official source. I listed the fan channel only to show you the clip of him demonstrating absolute pitch. The variety show vid you is approximately least an hour long video. I will post that. Is that acceptable enough for you? Moniinicole (talk) 02:19, 29 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If you continue to reject the obvious evidence, I will be requesting other administrators who do not let their personal views interfere with their professionalism, to look into this. Moniinicole (talk) 02:23, 29 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

https://m.vlive.tv/post/1-25128890 Moniinicole (talk) 02:24, 29 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The link I posted is official content from the variety show on VLive where this show is posted. No fan opinions. That is your credible source. You absolutely can not argue with that solid video evidence. Moniinicole (talk) 02:25, 29 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I suggest that you stop referring to me as a "biased person" unless you can provide evidence of that, per WP:ATTACK. OhNoitsJamie Talk 22:58, 29 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Why are you stalking me and Jungkook’s postings? You are absolutely more than a biased person, but an an unprofessional person filled with hate, who is currently being mass reported for your unprofessional behavior and stalking of other users. July 2022[edit]

Stop icon This is your only warning; if you purposefully and blatantly harass fellow Wikipedian(s) again, as you did at User talk:Moniinicole, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. This behaviour towards another editor is not acceptable. Step back/walk away/calm down - do whatever it takes not to escalate situations you happen to feel passionately about, and don't attack other users. If I see a repeat of this, you may well find your editing privileges withdrawn. Nick Moyes (talk) 00:29, 30 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I have been stalked and personally harasses by user “ohnoitsjamie”! They even found my personal discussion with you! Is that normal behavior? They have a personal issue with my friends and I and have been stalking us on Twitter. Why are you automatically taking their side when you have absolutely no idea what is going on? Moniinicole (talk) 00:35, 30 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Moniinicole You seem to forget that it was YOU who came 'out of the blue' to MY talk page and asked for MY input in your edits. So I started to look into it, per your request. Please behave more rationally and calmly towards other users, and assume good faith. I will politely warn you again that you need to engage more constructively and less antagonistically towards other users if you expect to continue editing here. Thank you. Nick Moyes (talk) 00:41, 30 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I came to you for help because you were listed under administrators who have recently updated. This link was provided under Wikipedia’s guidelines for solving a dispute. I understand what you are saying. However, this administrator has been following me and my friends on another social media site so personal issues were interfering with the situation editing process. I agree that I did let my emotions get to me here because I feel concerned by the lengths that they have gone to, to attack me and my friends and I think personal views should not get in the way of editing. If my sources are not credible enough, then I will accept that. However, I just wanted a third party to review the sources without any emotion and to be open to a civilized discussion. I understand that you are busy so what else can I do to solve editing disputes? I will try to contact other administrators for a third party review, but I am concerned about this other administrator who is messaging everyone I write and trying to interfere with the dispute process. I hope you understand. Thanks for your advice. Moniinicole (talk) 00:51, 30 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Liz. Can I just drop in and say that @Moniinicole has also canvassed me. I did not find their sources and video for their claim especially sound or convincing. But when I went to their talk page I found that (perhaps in their fervour to see their favourite artist fully lauded), they had engaged in some quite escalatory language and accusations against Ohnoitsjamie. See this I find that level of angst, accusation and suspicion of another's motives somewhat unacceptable, and have left them an 'Only Warning', as I don't want to see them dealing with any other editor in the same way. I note they've now responded to me rather sharply there, too. I don't feel that this is going to pan out too well. Nick Moyes (talk) 00:45, 30 July 2022 (UTC)

Moniinicole (talk) 00:55, 30 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I have struck through the above text as you have pasted in my words that I left for on another user on their talk page. I did not post or sign that here myself. See notice below. Nick Moyes (talk) 01:41, 30 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I’m disappointed that you have also not been willing to openly discuss the sources and facts of the case on the talk page, but have also gone to great lengths to try and shut down the dispute process. This is extremely unprofessional. I have no choice but to escalate the situation and will be involving both of you now for administrator abuse. Moniinicole (talk) 00:58, 30 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Moniinicole You are extraordinarily hasty to draw conclusions and make accusations against others (including me now, it seems , for "administrator abuse"!). That is not a helpful attitude, especially as you were the one coming to ME, seeking my input as an uninvolved person, just as you did to Liz, 331dot and to TheresNoTime. As I suspect you know only full well, the venue to lodge any complaint about another editor's behaviour is WP:ANI. If you believe you have a justifiable issue with my behaviour, do please follow the procedures there to ensure all involved editors are correctly notified, and be aware that your own editing behaviour will be scrutinised as much as those about who you might wish to complain (see WP:BOOMERANG).
But before you rush off to ANI, do please read my response to your request on my talk page for a third party opinion which I did take the time and trouble to investigate and give you since you first posted on my talk page two and a half hours ago. (see here).
May I also firmly warn you never again to copy and paste another editors' post and put it into a different thread as you have just done with my post to Liz on her talk page. (diff) You may use a WP:DIFF or quote template (see {{tq}}) to flag up what someone said, but you must never include their timestamp and signature in a way that suggests they posted somewhere where they did not. We take that kind of misleading post quite seriously, as it only serves to confuse everyone else.
It's now 2:30am here in the UK, and I'm off to bed, so I don't plan to respond further tonight. Regards, Nick Moyes (talk) 01:36, 30 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Moniinicole, let's make a few things clear: (1) Given that I'm assuming you are a newish user, I can't possibly imagine how I'd have a bias against you. I've only interacted with you because you posted poorly-sourced material to a page that is on my watchlist. That page is on my watchlist because that's an ongoing issue with a variety of new users posting poorly sourced material to that page. (2) I haven't posted anything on Twitter in nearly 10 years (3) I don't know who you are off-wiki and certainly haven't "stalked" you or anyone else off-wiki, ever. I don't use the username "ohnoitsjamie" on any social media. Unfounded accusations like this can be grounds for blocking. I suggest you withdraw them.
