I reverted your personal interpretation on the talk page for The Fountain because talk pages are not meant to be a forum for general discussion. The Plot section should not include interpretations surmised by editors, since this violates Wikipedia's no original research policy. Please see the "Writing the plot" section on the talk page to understand why the section needs to be clear of interpretation. --Erik (talk/contrib) @ 19:24, 27 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

If my comments fall under that category, I would strongly suggest removing most of the discussion going on in the sections I commented on, since I don't believe mine were either more or less personal interpretation than the other discussions. However, I would still suggest keeping these discussions around, at least on the talk page, to enhance understanding of the relationship between plot and meaning and to help prove or disprove theories offered by published sources. Since the text isn't on the article, I'm not entirely sure it falls under Wikipedia's original research policy, even though I understand the need to clean the talk page of petty interpretation arguments. Either way, I think it's at the very least constructive to the article to have these discussions present but highly surveyed to keep it helpful. // Montag 19:34, 27 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I know, and I'm hoping that the notaforum template at the top of the talk page will deter future general discussion. I don't want to purge everything, but you made your comments after the template was inserted. I'm not sure how discussion could be "highly surveyed" if there's no mention of citations other than editors' own minds for interpreting this film. Such discussion doesn't help contribute to the article, because such personal observations would be original research. --Erik (talk/contrib) @ 19:42, 27 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I agree that personalized interpretations should be kept to a minimum, but it's very difficult to even make a concrete statement about such an ambiguous movie without interpreting it in some way. I think being too heavy-handed with discussion will result in not being able to talk about the movie at all in order to help correct/edit the article. This will become less difficult as more research is available to cite. For now, I would suggest offering a guideline to preface all discussion with some sort of citation of the article itself to indicate the actual subject of the thread so it doesn't simply become discussion about the movie. // Montag 19:51, 27 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

geez Matt that first sentance scared the crap outta me! Thanks for making those changes. butv10 is supposed to be lowercase, according to the official logo at least. I don't have a complete episode list, but somewhere there is a large script binder with the first twenty and the last nine episodes. In between, no records have been accurately kept.
