Thank you for noticing the problems with the article Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology. You were correct when you said the article was a copyvio. The university itself seems to be notable, though, so I created a stub rather than deleting the article. --Eastmain 08:26, 26 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Issuing warnings[edit]

Hey Moonside, when issuing warnings, always start with the lowest level of warnings, that way you don't offend or scare editors, even anon. users, from making positive and constructive edits. Nat Tang talk to me! | Check on my contributions!|Email Me! 02:11, 27 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome from me[edit]

Hi Moonside. Nice username!. —Moondyne 06:54, 27 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You too :) Thanks for the welcome. Having fun. Moonside 09:39, 27 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Why would you want this article to be deleted. Its about a historical figure. Whats the deal? its well refrenced, and well writtin! --ProfMozart 09:04, 27 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Vandal warning[edit]

Hello, and thankyou for warning that vandal who deleted content from Virtual address space. However, I was myself going to do that. Just thought I'd let you know. Lradrama 10:08, 27 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My bad, I hadn't realized that it was your edit. Moonside 10:09, 27 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
OK, no worries!! Happy editing. ;-) Lradrama 10:12, 27 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, please be careful when you tag an article for speedy deletion under A7. This article asserted that he won 3 major awards in 1988, 1989 and 1998, that he appeared in 60 albums, ... That was definitely not A7able. -- lucasbfr talk 11:37, 27 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You're absolutely right. I had actually reread the article more carefully and was going to change the tag to the copyvio version, but by the time I clicked edit it was already deleted. I'll be more careful in the future. Thanks for the headsup. Moonside 11:51, 27 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
No problem ;) Sorry for my tone, I saw a lot of wrong speedy deletions a few days ago, I was in a "not again!" mood. Thanks for patroling the new pages :) -- lucasbfr talk 16:04, 27 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

June 2007[edit]

Hello. Regarding the recent revert you made, you may already know about them, but you might find Wikipedia:Template messages/User talk namespace useful. After a revert, these can be placed on the user's talk page to let them know you considered their edit was inappropriate, and also direct new users towards the sandbox. They can also be used to give a stern warning to a vandal when they've been previously warned. Thank you. Hi, and welcome to Wikipedia - I see you've got to know a few things to do RE: vandals. However I need to caution you about the harshness of warnings (see WP:BITE, and being far too quick on the revert and associated - vandal fighting tools with TW. Just be careful! Bennyboyz3000 08:35, 28 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I have read all of these things and keep them in mind. If you have a specific example of where I've been too harsh (recently), then please show me. I do my best to pick the appropriate message each time, but I apologize if I've made a mistake. Moonside 08:39, 28 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings. I started an article. I see that you have flagged it as "blatant advertising". Perhaps you could join me on the discussion page there to inform me of why this is. I do not think that article falls into that catergory but if I am in the wrong. I am happy to learn why. Thankyou.Yawm 12:32, 28 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, seems you have an issue where you have an issue with many people where, as you have admitted, after re-reading an article, you change your mind. Please read things before you jump to assumptions. By not reading things properly before you change them, you are harming the community by aiding with the deletion of valuable and well sourced encyclopedia knowledge. A lot of people are saying this to you. Maybe its time to listen to their advice. Regards, Yawm 14:05, 28 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Just read over WP:ANI last night. Basically, if it is blatant vandalism, you can report it to WP:AIV. I filed a report last night and the IPvandal was banned from editing for two days. Hope this helps, Seicer (talk) (contribs) 12:57, 28 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
