Flags in Infoboxes[edit]

Please do not place flags in infoboxes as you did in Thierry Henry. Please see Flags. If you want to discuss the issue, please write your comments in WP Project Football. Thank you and happy wiking! Alexf(Talk/Contribs) 10:29, 2 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Håvard Nordtveit[edit]

Please do not add unsourced or original content, as you did to Arsenal F.C.. Doing so violates Wikipedia's verifiability policy. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. There is no evidence Nordtveit has been recalled on loan so please stop editing the article to indicate otherwise. Qwghlm (talk) 00:01, 31 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry I didn't mean to be harsh at all, it's just that here we have to have information from reliable sources. With all due respect to the Young Guns blog, his site is just a blog and has no official sources. If there is official confirmation on an official source - such as Arsenal or Salamanca's own official websites or a recognised reliable news site like the BBC, then that's fine to change here so go ahead - but please supply a link to the relevant story. Thanks! Qwghlm (talk) 00:39, 31 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
UD Salamanca confirms his departure at http://www.udsalamanca.net/cmsa/index.php. Morhveem (talk) 01:49, 31 October 2008 (GMT+1)
Or at least they confirm Arsenal wants him back. Morhveem (talk) 01:52, 31 October 2008 (GMT+1)
OK if it's been confirmed on Salamanca's website feel free to revert my edits - glad to be proven wrong on this occasion. Qwghlm (talk) 10:56, 31 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Håvard Nordtveit[edit]

Havard Nordtveit has played 13 leagues for Lillestrom not 15 matches so unless you can find evidence to the contrary dont change my Havard Nordtveit edits. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Supergunner08 (talkcontribs) 17:05, 10 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You're wrong.

Ok, that website seems accurate. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Supergunner08 (talkcontribs) 11:12, 11 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thanks for your updates to the Lutz Pfannenstiel page! I just wanted to point out that in this set of edits you seem to have added a series of external links to the very top of the article. Furthermore, one of them (the link to lutz-pfannenstiel.de) is already given in the article's "External links" section, and one of them (to "ebuddy.com") does not appear to have any relevance to the article. I've corrected this; if you have any questions or requests then please let me know. Once again, thanks for contributing! Chris Cunningham (not at work) - talk 09:05, 10 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Be more careful[edit]

Hi! When reverting, please don't fully revert an edit that contained some good material. This time, you reverted by addition of a link to the police college as well as two good categories to Jo Tessem's article. Geschichte (talk) 07:25, 14 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Links[edit]

Hi! When someone requests a link to back up a piece of information, it's not good enough to place it in the edit summary. It has to go in the article. Think about the readers. Geschichte (talk) 19:42, 9 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Morhveem, I appreciate your interest in Lutz Pfannenstiel... I'd funnily enough never even heard of him a week ago. When I looked at the article, it was in a really messy state. The statistics, as you can see, are a bit problematic, having played for so many clubs. Anyway, you reverted my edit, that's fine – I was just wondering how much you actually know about his league games for each club. I can't find any sources for him having played in Belgium or Malta apart from some news wires which appear to take his statistics from Wikipedia itself. I trust that a number of statistics from Lutz's own website are correct, in as far as the clubs are concerned, even if his appearances there include cup games. I'm yet to have read his book, but was wondering if you could find any info on his alleged appearances for his time at K. Sint-Truidense V.V. and Ħamrun Spartans F.C.? Or shall I combine both of our edits together, using your current appearance numbers for those clubs mentioned on his website/elsewhere? Your input is appreciated. Richard Pacquette[edit]

Hi, I saw this recent edit and am curious; why? Seems redundant when he hasn't played since the last update. Cheers, Mattythewhite (talk) 23:54, 2 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did to Bradley Bubb, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. GiantSnowman 13:23, 12 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

References[edit]

Hi, thanks for updating players' statistics in their biographies. But could you please make sure you cite the sources you're using? At Carl Pentney, I don't think there's a reference included to support his Maidenhead stats. Thanks, Mattythewhite (talk) 14:13, 31 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Bradley Bubb[edit]

In this case I'd go with the club's official site, but please ensure you add it as a reference. GiantSnowman 17:04, 31 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox formatting[edit]

Please see the proper layout at {{Infobox football biography}} - just because others are incorrect is irrelevant! GiantSnowman 10:23, 27 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

There are no restrictions in the infobox guidelines that limits the use of multiple parameters on the same line. In fact the general design considerations for infoboxes recommends that layout and ease-of-use should be regarded, hence so many editors choose to tighten the structure of overly long football players career statistics. In what scale do you intend to make this kind of reversals? Morhveem (talk) 18:17, 28 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
It is nothing but personal preference (from editors like yourself) who make these changes - why? Not based in policy or consensus, and like I said against the standard format. GiantSnowman 09:59, 9 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Again, why are you repeatedly making these changed against the standard layout format and with no support in community consensus or policy? GiantSnowman 11:54, 9 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The article Sergio Carrallo has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:NFOOTY as he has not played in a fully professional league.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
