Blind reverts[edit]

By blindly reverting the changes I made to this article, you reintroduced several grammatical errors and formatting problems to the article.

I did not delete the text you added ("Before that a constitutional convention will be held before the end of the transitional period, to draft a permanent constitution for Sudan that will define the powers and levels of power and clarify the system to be followed in the future, as well as the legislative bodies to be elected."); I reworded it to "A constitutional convention will be held before the end of the transitional period to draft a permanent constitution that will define the form of government and electoral system."

Please use the "View history" tab to view editing history, and also check the "Talk" pages of articles. Better discuss edits on the "Talk" page of an article if you don't understand why another editor has changed your edits. Please especially assume good faith - even if at first it seems like someone has deliberately destroyed your work, if you check a bit more carefully, you may find that the real situation is somewhere in between - both you and the other editor might be partly right. The emblem of Sudan is arabic and the emblem of South Sudan is english. When Sudan and South Sudan were connected as Sudan, the official languages were arabic and english.

2020 China–India skirmishes edit[edit]

Please be more careful with your revert of my edit here [1].
1st - 4 Indian soldiers were injured in the Pangong Tso incident on the 10th, while 72 were injured in the separate Sikkim incident. That's a total of 76 injured that day.
2nd - You reinserted the claim of "additional" 43 dead Chinese soldiers cited to a twitter post. As per Wikipedia's policy twitter is generally to be avoided as a source. Also, the post, as well as proper media outlets relaying the news, did not say 43 soldiers were killed. Instead they said 43 soldiers were killed AND seriously injured. So its a misinterpretation of the source at the moment.
3rd - 5 Chinese dead is actually not confirmed by both sides till now (as has been written in the infobox). Instead, as per the cited source that I placed and your revert removed, it was initially reported by a Global Times reporter, after which the Global Times retracted the reported figure. Also, the figure of 5 dead is now cited (after the revert) to my source on the 43 dead AND injured as per ANI.
4th - Your revert completely removed the unofficial report by the Guardian of "dozens" of dead. EkoGraf (talk) 18:11, 16 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please read again what I said. Your revert re-inserted (another editors edit) that 5 Chinese dead is a number confirmed by both sides (which it isn't). Its a number reported by the Global Times only. And the other (Indian) sources are not reporting 43 dead, instead they are reporting 43 dead AND injured. The only thing we agree is there are no official Chinese numbers. I just made a compromise edit. I did not reinsert the Guardian report of "dozens" of dead. I edited that the 5 Chinese dead is per the Global Times, not "confirmed from both sides" as it stood. Abdel Fattah al-Burhan edits[edit]

Hey. I'm writing about three WP:MOS issues with al-Burhan that we're going back & forth on. Here are my arguments:

I use al-Burhan mid-sentence with a lowercase A just like you do. At the beginning of a sentence, that A needs to be capitalised. This is pretty standard in English, but also see MOS:CAPS:WP:PROPERNAME. To wit: 'Exceptions are made when the lowercase variant has received regular and established use in reliable third party sources. In these cases, the name is still capitalized when at the beginning of a sentence, per the normal rules of English.'
Linking Egypt and Jordan is overlinking. See MOS:OVERLINK in which there is a list of what should not be linked including: 'The names of subjects with which most readers will be at least somewhat familiar. This generally includes major examples of… countries (e.g., Japan/Japanese, Brazil/Brazilian)…'
Piping Sudan when it's used as the name of the country to Republic of the Sudan (1956–1969) is unintuitive & not transparent. I understand your argument. See MOS:LINKCLARITY & WP:EASTEREGG. The Republic of the Sudan (1956–1969) is an era in the history of the Sudan: It's not a different country. This would be akin to writing that I—born in 1981—was born in the United States. I think you can achieve your end by having a more specific link. I also don't think we need this kind of detail in the infobox.
