Hi, I saw the copyvio notice and looked at [1]...is there a link to get a better idea of the problem (I'd be interested in trimming out any text thats problematic) I myself hardly edited this article in 2021 [2]--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 00:09, 12 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! There is a full link provided at the revision here but I wasn't going to link that website in the copyvio notice cause it looks like a copyvio as well. Otherwise, you'd have to manually search within the GBooks link as Earwig doesn't work with PDF scans. Thanks for asking :) MrLinkinPark333 (talk) 00:19, 12 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I've reviewed this editors contributions which seem to be the problem as he was warned about copyvio, I have therefore done this to remedy the situation [3] and [4] should you agree I'll remove that tag{{copypaste}}(I dont believe theres much more, however if there is something further you disagree with (about copyvio), I'll trim even further), thank you--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 13:12, 12 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
[5] I waited a few hours for comment.... should you feel something further needs trimming please revert, thank you--Ozzie10aaaa (talk) 20:18, 12 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hello. I was a bit busy. I was going to suggest removing the tag if you felt the copyvio was all dealt with. Thank you for looking into it :) MrLinkinPark333 (talk) 23:22, 12 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Glyn(s) Hughes[edit]

Hallo, I see you did a flurry of useful disambiguation about 18 hours ago, including disambiguating a link in Ammon Wrigley which is on my watch list so came to my notice. I went further and created a dab page at Glyn Hughes, noting that most of the links pointing to the (Association) footballer were intended for the redlinked Rugby Union player so were wrong anyway. Got waylaid into sorting out the army medic (the source about the hospital named for him is incorrect, using "Glynn" with two n's), and created Glyn Hughes (writer) rather than the "(author)" you had used, because it's the disambiguator I usually use. But I'd be interested to know if there's any guideline or past discussion which recommends one or the other of "writer" and "author". I raised it as a question at Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Disambiguation#"(writer)"_or_"(author)"? but thought I'd mention it here too (could just have "pinged" you I suppose).

For interest, I think that Art UK has got its Glyn Hughes's in a muddle too, as the text here seems to come from this website which makes no mention of sculpture or Turing! It may be the Welsh equivalent of "John Smith" for frequency, I suspect. Happy disambiguating! PamD 21:00, 12 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I don't mind if it's either writer or author. I was more concerned about pointing them to the right person. Thank you for taking the initative in creating the article :) MrLinkinPark333 (talk) 23:26, 12 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Checking in[edit]

Hi, hope all is well. I'm recently off a fairly long Wiki-break and rediscovering how much I quite enjoy editing. How are things over here? Eddie891 Talk Work 16:33, 3 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hey! Nice to see you :) Not sure when you went on your wiki break. There was a DYK backlog from May - August. During this time, nominators with 20 or more overall nominations had to provide 2 qpqs instead of 1 per nom.
As for me, I've been primarily making articles and sometimes helping out at cci. Some old cci cases have been closed while new & large cases have been started. The Wikipedia discord might have more events that you'd be interested in. Thanks for checking in. Hope to see/talk to you more soon! MrLinkinPark333 (talk) 17:48, 3 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, it was a somewhat unintentional break as life just caught up and the weeks flew by without editing. Was pretty much from March to early August, though I edited intermittently in between.
Wow, I didn't notice anything about the DYK backlog. Strange how you can miss something so completely. I've been falling back in love with writing content, which is nice, especially articles on poetry at the moment. Glad to hear you have been continuing your usual amazing work, and I'm sure we will interact again in the not too distant future. All the best, Eddie891 Talk Work 17:55, 3 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

DYK for Miguel Rivera (jockey)[edit]

On 13 October 2022, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Miguel Rivera (jockey), which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Miguel Rivera sold cosmetics and appliances while working as a jockey? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Miguel Rivera (jockey). You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Miguel Rivera (jockey)), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (i.e., 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.
