Redirect to PB Radio[edit]

Hi Mr. Newbold,

I undid your edit to Plantsbrook School Radio Station: it was a redirect page, not an empty article. Redirect pages play a valid role in Wikipedia and shouldn't be deleted unless there is good reason - see the redirects for discussion page for more information on this process.

PB Radio[edit]

Please note that Wikipedia is not just a directory of current things; we are an encyclopedia, and notability is not temporary. A thing that used to exist, but doesn't anymore, is not automatically deleted from here just because it's defunct — if it was ever notable enough for an encyclopedia then it stays notable permanently regardless of whether it's still in operation now, because people do still need to access information about what it was. The article might actually be deletable — it's questionable whether it ever really qualified for a Wikipedia article in the first place — but "it doesn't exist anymore" is not the reason. I appreciate what you say about being temporary, but as you also said, it doesn't really warrant an entry in the first place.

As a school we have had a number of 'attacks' on the Wikipedia page and we are trying to minimise what we have to monitor.

I hope that in monitoring the school's article, you're taking note of the Conflict of Interest policy. The short version is:

You should not be directly editing the school article, with the following exceptions:
- Cleaning up obvious vandalism - you can undo the offending edit and explain on the talk page.
- Correcting simple errors of fact which are verifiably false, again explaining on the talk page.
For everything else, you can edit the talk page explaining what needs to be done, and adding a {{request edit}} template to alert other editors.
