Setting up archiving[edit]

Would you consider archiving? Best, Anna Frodesiak (talk) 22:27, 29 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I doubt I'll be sticking around long enough for it to be worthwhile, but thanks for the suggestion. Mr Potto (talk) 08:27, 30 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Sympathy vs empathy[edit]

https://books.google.com/books?id=xnMl0oXJZfgC&pg=PA50&lpg=PA50&dq=sympathy+sharing+emotional+state&source=bl&ots=LNFsN0QMAY&sig=Rz1owGj7Ze18WU_DZm-LP87sj8U&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0CCkQ6AEwAWoVChMIq4DoyOqAxwIVBtKACh3SuAJn#v=onepage&q=sympathy%20sharing%20emotional%20state&f=false

Sorry, I only just started using Wikipedia and did not mean to post that as an explanation. I'm also still getting used to this setup. The statement in the article: "Sympathy does not require the sharing of the same emotional state" is a fallacy. I can cite sources from psychology texts if you'd like explaining why sympathy is an emotional response brought about from empathy. It is on par with humor being a emotional response tied to empathy as well as shared anger. Would you like me to provide various lists of citations? As long as anything you add has proper sources, that should be fine. Mr Potto (talk) 08:27, 30 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
