Image copyright problem with Image:Poster Whosquentin.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Poster Whosquentin.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. John Lake 15:40, 16 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright violation[edit]

The film article Who's Quentin? has been tagged for a full rewrite, as its contents have been copypasted from its official website. The deadline for deletion (unless re-written) is on the 22nd of December 2006. Hoverfish 22:05, 16 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've removed it in the mean time as copyright violations are not appreciated here, however a rewrite in your own words would be. Also I have retagged the poster you uploaded for that film as it is definitely copyrighted by the filmmakers. 68.39.174.238 11:06, 17 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Whosquentinposter.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Whosquentinposter.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 07:49, 15 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Request for usurpation[edit]

Hello, Mr White. A request has been made at Wikipedia:Changing username/Usurpations to usurp, or "take over", your username because another user would like to use it to edit. The changing username guideline allows a username that is not being actively used to be usurped if the user is given an opportunity to object and does not do so.

If you have an email set in your preferences, you should be getting an email from a bureaucrat or changing username clerk explaining how to consent or object to this process.

If you do not object to being renamed to a new username in order for another user to use the name you currently have, please log in and post a reply here saying so (you may also tell us what username you would like to be renamed to, or we will provide you with a generic one).

If you do nothing: the request may be filled shortly, and your account will be moved to a generic username. You may request that it be moved to a new username of your choice at any time.

If you object to being renamed: please log in and make an edit to this page clearly stating that you object to usurpation. Any objection on your part will prevent usurpation.

Please note that even if your current username is usurped, you can still edit and your data will not be lost; your preferences, watchlist, and other user settings will be transferred to a new username.

Thank you for your time. — John Biancato 14:10, 31 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
