Your GA nomination of Pyramid of Khentkaus I

Hi there, I'm pleased to inform you that I've begun reviewing the article Pyramid of Khentkaus I you nominated for GA-status according to the criteria. This process may take up to 7 days. Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments you might have during this period. Message delivered by Legobot, on behalf of Tim riley -- Tim riley (talk) 13:42, 2 July 2022 (UTC)

Thanks for taking up the review, Tim riley. It's about ten-to-midnight here in Qld, so I'll see your comments tomorrow or whenever you post them. I've fixed an AmEng (-ize as we tend to learn OxEng rather than BrEng). Mr rnddude (talk) 13:53, 2 July 2022 (UTC)
It's 18.45 in London, and I've finished my review and have left a few very minor suggestions on the review page. Tim riley talk 17:47, 2 July 2022 (UTC)

Your GA nomination of Pyramid of Khentkaus I

The article Pyramid of Khentkaus I you nominated as a good article has passed ; see Talk:Pyramid of Khentkaus I for comments about the article. Well done! If the article has not already appeared on the main page as a "Did you know" item, or as a bold link under "In the News" or in the "On This Day" prose section, you can nominate it within the next seven days to appear in DYK. Bolded names with dates listed at the bottom of the "On This Day" column do not affect DYK eligibility. Message delivered by Legobot, on behalf of Tim riley -- Tim riley (talk) 08:27, 3 July 2022 (UTC)

well now

Wow! Don't mince words. Tell us what you really think. --Deepfriedokra (talk) 00:29, 22 July 2022 (UTC)

Deepfriedokra - I never had much of a filter. The thought occurred after the fact that 'Arbs might question the decorum of this post', but it's already resolved itself. Case dismissed, user blocked. We'll see if they appeal, I guess. Mr rnddude (talk) 01:12, 22 July 2022 (UTC)
I'll be waiting, though it's a check user block. I don't comment at Arb cases anymore except under extreme provocation. You said what I would have were I braver. --Deepfriedokra (talk) 01:20, 22 July 2022 (UTC)

DYK for Pyramid of Khentkaus I

On 29 July 2022, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Pyramid of Khentkaus I, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that an inscription uncovered at the Pyramid of Khentkaus I (pictured), identifies Khentkaus I as the mother of two kings, or perhaps the mother of one and a king herself? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Pyramid of Khentkaus I. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Pyramid of Khentkaus I), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (i.e., 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Cleopatra hieroglyphics

The hieroglyphics on the Cleopatra article distort the whole format, as they are far too exposed. Since the article does not use Infobox pharaoh, but instead Infobox royalty, I presume they should be inserted in the infobox similar to the Alexander the Great article. However, I am not sure how to transfer this over myself, being unfamiliar with the topic. Would you be able to assist in this? Aza24 (talk) 07:59, 31 August 2022 (UTC)

Aza24 - Thanks for the notice. I've looked at both articles, and this is a quite complicated use case. I'm working on fixing the formatting in Alexander the Great's IB – only two of the five names appear, probably resulting from a pair of misplaced curly brackets. I believe I can convert the box in Cleopatra's article into the IB in the same manner. I'll leave another note once I'm done. Mr rnddude (talk) 00:56, 2 September 2022 (UTC)

Here you go, I've done the write-up. If that's good, you can just slot it into the successor section of the IB, and remove the box from the article. If needed, I can do the transfer as well. Just double check that I've transcribed everything correctly. Mr rnddude (talk) 01:44, 2 September 2022 (UTC)

The transcription looks correct, thank you! Adding now. Aza24 (talk) 05:57, 2 September 2022 (UTC)

Correction to previous election announcement

Just a quick correction to the prior message about the 2022 MILHIST coordinator election! I (Hog Farm) didn't proofread the message well enough and left out a link to the election page itself in this message. The voting will occur here; sorry about the need for a second message and the inadvertent omission from the prior one. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 17:41, 15 September 2022 (UTC)

Look what you did

Hi, I'd just like to point out that by removing my comment from 2022 ukraine invasion because yada yada (I have a username, you know), you've paved the way for people to rename that article in the most ridiculous way possible. I know you're adhering by the policies and such, but think about it. It is a war. There has never been a war between Russia and Ukraine before because Ukraine didn't exist prior to 1991. This will not stop in 2023. And you think you're so smart... pathetic. 104.163.138.105 (talk) 06:12, 1 January 2023 (UTC)

Replied on your talk page. Mr rnddude (talk) 06:43, 1 January 2023 (UTC)

PA

I've redacted your comment here. I don't think you do but just in case you wonder why, the lead of our article mentions some relevant things, including ageism. ☿ Apaugasma (talk ) 18:06, 7 March 2023 (UTC)

Apaugasma - And naturally I have undone it. That's a standard turn of phrase that is widely used online and in the real world. It is not what RPA is for. Mr rnddude (talk) 02:53, 8 March 2023 (UTC)
I read your further reply here, and I think that however right or wrong the editor you directed the comment to was, it would not make your comment less of a personal attack. This is not about their comment, but about your comment, which does nothing but dismiss or mock.
I don't think there is much point in discussing this further between the two of us, so I asked other editors' opinions at ANI. The thread is Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents#Ok, boomer. ☿ Apaugasma (talk ) 13:45, 8 March 2023 (UTC)
