License tagging for Image:Billblass85.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Billblass85.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 00:08, 19 September 2006 (UTC)

Image copyright problem with Image:Juiblee.JPG[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Juiblee.JPG. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

Unspecified source for Image:78lincdiamondjubblue02.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:78lincdiamondjubblue02.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 17:11, 8 April 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. User:Gay Cdn (talk) (Contr) 17:11, 8 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Images, image copyrights and image copyright tags[edit]

Mr wiggl3s, I noticed on your user page that you indicated "Also, some images I stole from eBay. Sorry." I am going to nominate these images for deletion. My next few posts to your talk page will be related to your images. If you have any questions or would like any help finding freely-licensed images, feel free to ask. --Iamunknown 01:33, 14 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed you removed the quote. Do you want any help or advice regarding images? --Iamunknown 03:39, 18 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned fair use image (Image:80Designers.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:80Designers.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 06:13, 12 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Mr wiggl3s. An automated process has found and removed an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, and thus is being used under fair use that was in your userspace. The image (Image:80Designers.jpg) was found at the following location: User:Mr wiggl3s. This image or media was removed per criterion number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media was replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg, so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. Please find a free image or media to replace it with. Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:42Cabriolet.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Iamunknown 15:58, 17 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Saying someone died who did not is a major offense[edit]

Wikipedia biographies of living persons occupy a a sensitive area. Vandalizing Stan Lee here falsely claiming that he had died is hurtful to the family and a needless, reprehensible act by you and whoever User:68.57.212.133 may be. --Tenebrae 01:52, 21 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Mr wiggl3s[edit]

I noticed in one section of your user page[1] you noted that some content was "From forbes.com". You may not realize it, but copying content from Forbes.com to Wikipedia is a copyright violation. Mr wiggl3s, I have offered my assistance to you before in dealing with copyrights, which I know are a tricky subject, and I offer my assistance again. Please at least respond, telling me "yes" or "no". --Iamunknown 02:37, 7 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unacceptable behavior with copyrighted materials[edit]

Unfortunately, you have also posted more copyrighted material on your user page, in this case from [2]. Given that you have been repeatedly asked to cease posting copyrighted material from other sites, I have unfortunately had to remove the material and protect your user page. Any further posting of such material anywhere on Wikipedia will lead to a block from editing. Once you have shown that you are willing to discuss the problem and cease the problematic behavior, I will be happy to remove the protection. Seraphimblade Talk to me 05:14, 9 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
