Unspecified source for Image:G.PNG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:G.PNG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 22:09, 11 July 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. S up? 22:09, 11 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for uploading Image:G.PNG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI 00:11, 24 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use Image:Music_livereviews2-1.jpg

[edit]
Replaceable fair use
Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Music_livereviews2-1.jpg. I noticed the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, fair use images which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if not used in an article), per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rettetast 16:16, 4 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I saw your alt. hardcore article. I think it's a nice idea, but chances are, it will be deleted, unless you can find sources of course. So if you want to keep it, I would make a copy on your userpage. Like I made an article on Hardcore Pop at User:Icelandic Hurricane/Hardcore Pop. Just thought I'd give you the idea. icelandic hurricane #12(talk) 17:51, 27 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Edit war at Glassjaw

[edit]

Based on the contribution histories, it appears likely that you are also editing under the IP addresses 189.24.99.171 and 189.24.85.13, so I expect that you have already noted the 3RR warning template at User talk:189.24.85.13. I will remind you again that Wikipedia:Blocking policy allows administrators to block you if you edit-war even if technically you have not broken the 3-revert rule. Pursue dispute resolution if you wish, but please do not continue to edit-war or you will likely be blocked. --Paul Erik (talk)(contribs) 23:16, 5 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It appears that we remain in a content dispute at this article. Is there one particular method of dispute resolution that you would prefer in this case? --Paul Erik (talk)(contribs) 18:11, 13 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You need to understand that the genre you or I or anyone else thinks a band is doesn't matter, its what reliable sources say they are. Inhumer (talk) 22:08, 14 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Glassjaw. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. Moonriddengirl (talk) 17:40, 16 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have requested review of your edits to this article at the 3RR noticeboard. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 15:10, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
You have been blocked from editing for a period of 31 hours in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for Disruption: on Glassjaw. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make constructive contributions. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below.

slakrtalk / 18:13, 17 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Mrbelial, you are continuing to engage in edit warring, without discussion, without taking up offers of dispute resolution, at Glassjaw. Please be aware that continuing will likely result in further blocks, for longer periods. Paul Erik (talk)(contribs) 12:38, 8 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Please pursue dispute resolution; continued reverting will likely result in a block again. Paul Erik (talk)(contribs) 22:50, 12 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Glassjaw is not emo. They are post-hardcore, could at, least leave this only? Mr. Belial (talk)(contribs) 19:56, 12 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Emo can be considered a subgenre of hardcore punk, according to the hardcore punk article. NME magazine refers to them as emo, and since emo is considered an offshoot of hardcore anyway, why not leave it as emo? Paul Erik (talk)(contribs) 23:21, 12 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Emo is already derived from post-hardcore, then why put emo? Mr. Belial (talk)(contribs) 02:31, 13 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think editors have explained this to you already. When you remove content that has been cited to reliable sources and replace it with uncited material, as you did with this set of edits, you are ignoring Wikipedia's core policy of verifiability. (And, as a side note, could you please make use of the Show preview button?) Paul Erik (talk)(contribs) 19:16, 21 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Glassjaw (album)

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Glassjaw (album), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Ottre 19:33, 22 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
