Jennifer Nicole Lee[edit]

This article is unlikely to be deleted now, but please be aware of policies regarding editing of articles on Wikipedia. We need to write from a neutral point of view, and keep in mind that Wikipedia is not for promotion. There are several policies linked above; if I can answer any questions, please let me know.  Frank  |  talk  13:18, 20 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

October 2009[edit]

Your recent addition to Jennifer Nicole Lee has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of article content such as sentences or images. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

Please come to understand about wp:CITE, wp:NPOV, wp:COI. wp:copyright.

WP is not a place for advertising. It is an encyclopedia.

Your removal of the co-winner of the prize failed wp:NPOV and it seems you might have a problem with wp:COI.

Your inclusion of text from [1], even if it were your site, is not appropriate, please see wp:copyright.

The text itself also fails wp:NPOV, as it is clearly promotional. Please stop.

Please be sure to provide content in your own words based on generally wp:reliable sources, such as notable print, broadcast, and web media, and follow wp:CITE.

Giving a thorough read to Wikipedia:Your first article would also be a great idea.

A number of us have worked hard to turn this into a small but viable encyclopedia article. Please help.

Because of your efforts so far, I would encourage you to discuss your changes on the talk page, before you make them.

If you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Jennifer Nicole Lee, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. For more details about what, exactly, constitutes a conflict of interest, please see our conflict of interest guidelines. Thank you. --Orange Mike | Talk 14:07, 27 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did to Jennifer Nicole Lee. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you.  Frank  |  talk  15:41, 28 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Help offered[edit]

At Wikipedia:Editor assistance/Requests#Requesting Assistance Adding Pertinent Information to my Jennifer Nicole Lee Wikipedia Entry you are asking for help, and a few of us have offered good advice, but you are not responding, and don't seem to be taking the advice. I encourage you to use the article talk page talk:Jennifer Nicole Lee.

Please give a read to wp:five pillars, to understand what WP is and very basically how it works. Please read and understand wp:NPOV and wp:CITE to understand why information repeatedly added has been repeatedly deleted, and will continue to, unless it meets both these requirements.

Though it is long and complicated, wp:biographies of living persons may be worth your time, as the article that appears to be the single purpose of this account is an article about a living person, and you seem to want to add information about others.

Also, some of your language is a concern. You refer to "my Jennifer Nicole Lee entry". Please be sure to understand that there is no wp:ownership of articles. If you want an entry of your own for JNL, please see any of the many web sites that offer such a service: WP is not it.

Finally, please read and seriously consider wp:conflict of interest in reference to this article.
