October 2017[edit]

Hello, I'm Cocohead781. I noticed that in this edit to Parveen Shakir, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Cocohead781 (talk) 15:19, 31 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

November 2017[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm BilCat. I wanted to let you know that one or more external links you added to English grammar have been removed because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. BilCat (talk) 16:46, 20 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Muhammad Iqbal. While objective prose about beliefs, organisations, people, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. December 2017[edit]

Information icon Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Hors d'oeuvre. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. SovalValtos (talk) 11:09, 28 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Regarding your edits to Hors d'oeuvre, please use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made, reduces edit conflicts, and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the article will look like without actually saving it.

The "show preview" button is right next to the "save page" button and below the edit summary field.

It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. If you have any questions, contact the help desk for assistance. Thank you. SovalValtos (talk) 11:20, 28 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

January 2018[edit]

Please don't add external links that appear to have the recipe for WP:SPAM.--♦IanMacM♦ (talk to me) 10:20, 2 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

June 2018[edit]

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Kooikerhondje. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia.
