== List of Sindhi singers ==

Information icon Hello. Your recent edit to List of Sindhi singers appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 15:14, 24 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Arjayay, I think I have not added any name which is not already available in wikipedia. Please quote which entry by me is not a notable entry. Thanks. Mukhtiaraliunar (talk) 11:05, 19 May 2020 (UTC)Mukhtiaraliunar[reply]

A tag has been placed on Ekta (film) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ekta Movie. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. I do not know who created Ekta previously and why was it deleted. I have tried to provide authentic references to my article. It was the first Sindhi Film so it has historical importance. In principle, I have no objection if it is removed. However, I fail to understand what is wrong with its content. (talk)Mukhtiaraliunar

Photos[edit]

Please do not upload photos to Commons as "own work" unless you actually took them with your own camera.

To say that a photo you found on Encyclopedia Sindhiana is your own work is what is technically called a "lie".

It is actually possible to use the photo of Badam Natawan under our "fair use" principle, but you have to do it properly. DS (talk) 15:07, 20 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I have looked at what you did on Commons, and every photo you uploaded there will have to be deleted. Again: it is possible to use them on wikipedia, but you must do it properly. DS (talk) 15:11, 20 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Dear DS .. I did not take photo of Badam Natawan from Sindhiana. I took it from her grand daughter who is my colleague. Actually she gave picture to Sindhiana and many other Sindhi magazines. In fact, this is the only photo available which appears every where. I tried to uploaded it but it was not accepted by the system. The only way in which it was accepted was that It wrote it as mt photo. I know this is not right but my only intention was to introduce this historical personality to the world. BY creating an article on wikipedia, I have no any personal gain so there is no point to lie about it. Other photos also have similar reasons. You may delete all of them or even delete all articles which I have created. I am not creating these articles for any personal benefit so calling me lier is bit harsh. Mukhtiaraliunar (talk) 19:06, 21 April 2020 (UTC) MukhtirUnar[reply]

"The only way it was accepted by the system was that I wrote it as my photo" - yes, but you knew that was not true. You uploaded many photos to Commons, saying that they were yours, and you knew that was not true for any of them. Never do that. If the only way to get the system to accept the photo is by lying, then the solution is not "lie", the solution is "don't use the photo". Now, that said: a) the articles are fine, it is a good thing to have articles about Sindhi literary figures; b) there is a way to upload the pictures without having to lie. Go here and follow the instructions. I know, it is a pain to have to fill in all those spaces in the forms, but Wikipedia's lawyers have said that this is the way we need to do it in order to not get in trouble. These photos are non-free works, serving as historic portraits of persons no longer alive. If you have trouble with the form, the solution is: ask for help. This pertains to Copy Paste note on my article "Popati Hiranandani". I have carefully checked the duplicate source. In my opinion, there is no copy right violation. The source is an interview of Popati Niranandani. There is match in only two sentences. One is about her birth and the other about the awards she won. I shall request some one to verify this and remove the notice from my article. Please, note that the source in question is already quoted in the article. I am ready for any further debate, if desired. Mukhtiaraliunar (talk) 00:17, 3 May 2020 (UTC)Mukhtiaraliunar[reply]

Mirrors[edit]

Information icon Thanks for contributing to the article Kalyan Bulchand Advani. However, one of Wikipedia's core policies is that material must be verifiable and attributed to reliable sources. You have recently used citations which copied, or mirrored, material from Wikipedia. This leads to a circular reference and is not acceptable. Most mirrors are clearly labeled as such, but some are in violation of our license and do not provide the correct attribution. Please help by adding alternate sources to the article you edited! If you need any help or clarification, you can look at Help:Contents/Editing Wikipedia or ask at Wikipedia:New contributors' help page, or just ask me. Thank you. I have used 14 references and in my opinion, none of the reference is a wikipedia reference so I do not understand which reference is a circular reference. I have already responded on talk page but there is no any response from the user Kuru who has attached the above banner to my article. Administrators are requested to respond so that further improvement can be made and any misunderstanding can be clarified. Mukhtiaraliunar (talk) 06:04, 23 May 2020 (UTC)Mukhtiaraliunar[reply]
If you looked at the article's edit history, you can see that I removed a very specific "reference" that you added. See here. That site notes, very clearly, "The contents of this page are sourced from Wikipedia article on 17 Aug 2020." If you require a direct response in the future, please WP:PING me so that I can see that you have a response - I do not watch the talk pages of every single article I've had to clean up.
