Hmm... no need to actually use the user box. A simple statement on your page that you have a conflict of interest in the article is sufficient. If you are employed by the school or school board you should read WP:PAID and decide if it applies to you. I'm not sure that a class project would qualify as paid, but it wouldn't hurt to mention that you are a teacher coordinating a class project (if that is what is happening).
