Welcome to my page. You may write in English and German - and if I do not answer, maybe it is because of I do neither understand English nor German: http://youtube.com/watch?v=V6VYeA20J0A :-)
If you need help, you are going to explain what section and who the issue is with. -- Ricky81682 (talk) 06:03, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
Kosovo
[edit]There is no point me saying anything because as I have said, clearly there is no consensus. Also I'm not to keen on you implying that I am disrespecting/ ignoring the poll. I will go with what ever the poll says. Ijanderson (talk) 00:17, 20 May 2009 (UTC)
- If so, why do you (and others) again and again try to start a poll about splitting/moving/renaming? This is the point and I want you to see this point and correct your behaviour accordingly. --Mustafa Mustamann (talk) 07:17, 21 May 2009 (UTC)
- It was User:Interestedinfairness who suggested the split, not me. Ijanderson (talk) 09:14, 21 May 2009 (UTC)
- Oh damn, I feel so sorry now as I accused you. I mixed you up with him, you are right! --Mustafa Mustamann (talk) 10:44, 21 May 2009 (UTC)
- No problem Ijanderson (talk) 17:23, 21 May 2009 (UTC)
Hey can you change the Kosovska mitrovica name to Mitrovica? Interestedinfairness (talk) 20:25, 21 May 2009 (UTC)
- My idea is to create a redirect from "Kosovska Mitrovica" to "Mitrovica", would that be ok for you? --Mustafa Mustamann (talk) 20:28, 21 May 2009 (UTC)
- Perfect, that would make the most sense. Interestedinfairness (talk) 20:31, 21 May 2009 (UTC)
- Damn, I just saw there is already a disambig page for "Mitrovica", therefore I can't create a redirect. Sadly I don't know how to rename. But I support the renaming. --Mustafa Mustamann (talk) 20:30, 21 May 2009 (UTC)
- But at least I could correct the disambig page: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Mitrovica&diff=291471811&oldid=288099618 --Mustafa Mustamann (talk) 20:34, 21 May 2009 (UTC)
- I have another idea, we could copy the content of "Kosovska Mitrovica" into "Mitrovica" and insert the disambig page into "Mitrovica". I hope that does not buy me a block! --Mustafa Mustamann (talk) 20:41, 21 May 2009 (UTC)
- I was just going to warn you about that. You can't just move things about by copy-paste as you did here. What you need to do is reach WP:CONSENSUS for a move at Talk:Kosovska Mitrovica first, and only then ask an admin to do the move over an existing page, at WP:RM, if necessary. Fwiiw, I could support a move of Kosovska Mitrovica to Mitrovica, Kosovo since this is the way we disambiguate toponyms (like Richmond, Virginia vs. Richmond, London). --dab (𒁳) 07:54, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
Regarding that cut-and-paste move of Kosovska Mitrovica to Mitrovica:
Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting it into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history which is needed for attribution and various other purposes. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.
In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other articles that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you.
Don't worry, it's already fixed. But please, try not to do cut-and-paste moves again. Instead, try to follow dab's recommendations. Thank you. - Best, Ev (talk) 16:07, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
