I reported him, actually. It seems to me that the warning of vandalism-only accounts is largely a matter of personal taste, and to me (and, as far as I can tell, to many admins who patrol AIV) it seems like a rather outrageous courtesy to AGF with users who actually take the initiative to register an account and then go straight to being a pain in the rear. It's like vandalizing a store after you've applied to work there. Unlike our unlucky prospective cashier, however, Wikipedia users can ask for a second chance with the unblock template, or they can try again under a new name. I've been told not to tag Talk Pages for spam. I just delete the spam now and add 'Spam removed'. Apparently if the talk page is deleted, the 'offender' has no way of knowing what happened. Appropriate warning[edit]

Hi - I'd like you to reconsider the level of warning you gave at User talk:24.105.174.74#December 2008. Whether you agree or not with my disdain for level 1 warnings to vandalism-only accounts, I would suggest that issuing yet another level 1 warning following two warnings already this month accomplishes nothing. I'm sorry about that, but I was using huggle which it gives the warning it feels appropriate to give. I have been having some problems with that lately too. If I would have seen that I would have definitely not given another level 1 warning. Ok well the meaning of life is different for everyone. Last night while I was watching the stars through my telescope, I realized what the meaning of life was to me. My meaning of life is just to do what I enjoy, and surround myself with people that I enjoy being around. This one camping trip I went on a couple of years ago with my family also made me realize how much my meaning of life makes me happy. We had gone to this one camping place in Wisconsin, and they had all these cardboard cut-outs of characters, like Snoopy, and I thought it was the stupidest place in the world. My thoughts of hatred towards the place grew stronger when a beaver came into our camp the first night and ate all my pringles. After the trip was over, I had realized that I didn't have a bad time because I was with the people that made me laugh, and the people that enjoyed being around me. I have no idea. There are a couple of IP addresses all seeming to be from the same place that keep vandalizing my userpage and usertalk with it. I was wondering the same thing myself. I don't believe Mygerardromance is an admin, although she does seem qualified. Requests for page protection may be made at WP:RPP, although in this instance it was a single IP doing the vandalism, so the appropriate place to have brought it would have been WP:AIV.
