A tag has been placed on your user page, User:Myristica Supper Club, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be advertising which only promotes or publicises someone or something. Promotional editing of any kind is not permitted, whether it be promotion of a person, company, product, group, service, belief, or anything else. This is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages — user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources or advertising space. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing because of the following problems: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group or a web site, which is against the username policy.

You may request a change of name and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions other than promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. 331dot (talk) 01:54, 15 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

Apologies, we didn’t know we couldn’t write a brief page about our business. We shall not do so again, this is our first time using Wikipedia and didn’t realise this was against the rules.

Could you advise if we could write a brief page about our Founder? She is a celebrity Chef and we have seen many other pages written about various people so we are hoping that doesn’t contravene the rules. Could you also show us where we can view the rules so we know how to comply with them? Thank you. Myristica Supper Club (talk) 09:19, 15 January 2021 (UTC)

Decline reason:

You will need to choose a new username (unrelated to your organisation), agree that only one person will have access to the account and state what you intend to edit. You will not be unblocked if your intention is to write about your business or anyone connected to it. O Still Small Voice of Clam 13:17, 15 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Please designate a single person to exclusively operate your account, group accounts are not permitted. That person should then propose a new username per the username policy. Many of the relevant rules are described in the notices above, with links to the pages about them.
Wikipedia, in the main encyclopedia, does not have mere "pages", it has articles. Those articles are typically written by independent editors, who summarize what independent reliable sources with significant coverage have chosen to say about the subject, showing how they meet Wikipedia's special definition of notability, in this case, that of a notable person. Wikipedia is not interested in what an organization wants to say about itself or its personnel; you are free to do that on social media or your own website. Wikipedia is not a place for organizations to tell the world about themselves or their personnel. Please also review conflict of interest and paid editing.
Someone else will review your request, but you will not be unblocked to, in the short term at least, write about things for which you have a conflict of interest. If that is your only goal here, this is the end of the road for your Wikipedia editing career. If you want to edit about topics for which you have no conflict of interest, like the history of your country, or George Washington, or science, please tell what topics those might be. 331dot (talk) 10:07, 15 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
