Welcome, and thanks

Hi, welcome to Wikipedia. Just wanted to thank you for making so many good-faith edits in such a short time. Unlike so many vandal accounts and Point of view pushers, you seem to be here only to build an encyclopedia. Wikipedia needs more new editors like you. Howicus (talk) 03:59, 24 January 2013 (UTC)

Thanks, what a nice message. As a wise man or woman once wrote: "I hope I will contribute positively to Wikipedia. That is all." By the way, can you check my edits for mistakes, and let me know if I got a detail wrong? Mysterious Island (talk) 04:04, 24 January 2013 (UTC)
They all look good to me. Disclaimer: I haven't been editing for that long, so I don't know everything about, for example, references. Howicus (talk) 20:10, 24 January 2013 (UTC)
Thank you very much for taking the time to check them. I am trying to use "Show Preview" but once or twice I forgot to check what I had done. Mysterious Island (talk) 00:29, 25 January 2013 (UTC)

Hi. I'd just like to echo the words of the editor above and thank you for working through a number of Japanese actor/actress articles and rearranging the works in the correct chronological order. I've fixed a few articles like that myself in the past, so I know how time-consuming it can be to go through and re-order everything line by line, so your contributions are greatly appreciated. Thanks once again! --DAJF (talk) 09:58, 27 January 2013 (UTC)

Thank you for your message. In fact the chronological ordering is done by cutting and pasting into a text editor, and then reversing all of the lines. Only once did this fail, and I had to go and reorder by hand. Mysterious Island (talk) 14:15, 27 January 2013 (UTC)

Aruse

Thanks for changing the title of the Naruse film. I had proposed that change long ago but unfortunately forgot about it. Thanks as well for working on Japanese film articles. If you are interested, feel free to join Wikipedia:WikiProject_Japan or Wikipedia:WikiProject_Films/Japanese_cinema_task_force. Michitaro (talk) 14:34, 27 January 2013 (UTC)

Thank you for the invitations. Mysterious Island (talk) 15:37, 27 January 2013 (UTC)

Hello Mysterious island. We are having a small discussion about the ronin at WP:RM/TR. Perhaps you could give your opinion there. Thank you, EdJohnston (talk) 22:03, 4 February 2013 (UTC)

Hi mysterious island!

I noticed that you posted my recent move for reversion.

I apologize for my carelessness in the move process. I already explained there, but I have performed a lot of moves where I did not change the redirect location, so I was used to just clicking the link to "What links here", and it didn't occur to me that I was only being shown the double redirects.

I therefore understand the move being reverted on technical grounds. However, the move still needs to be made, because as it is now every variant of "Forty-seven Ronin" redirects to the primary article on the historical event, except "The 47 Ronin". (There is also no evidence that the 1941 film is more important than the other films, a few of which have received a wide release in English-speaking countries, which can't be said for the 1941 film.)

There is no reason to believe the film is the primary topic of this title, so I still intend to perform the move. EdJohnston suggested that before moving over the redirect and fixing the all the links (before changing the redirect location) I should come and ask you if you're cool with that?

Cheers!

Thanks for your message. I agree to moving the article around as you suggest, as long as the article links are fixed. Mysterious Island (talk) 01:48, 5 February 2013 (UTC)

Good Work!

I happened to notice that you've been doing some solidly-referenced renaming of Japanese film articles lately. Thanks for making Wikipedia a cleaner place! —Neil 02:40, 7 February 2013 (UTC)

Thank you, that is very kind. If you spot a mistake that I've made, please let me know. Mysterious Island (talk) 02:56, 7 February 2013 (UTC)

Your name has been mentioned in connection with a sockpuppetry case. Please refer to Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/JoshuSasori for evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to cases before editing the evidence page.--Cúchullain t/c 02:29, 20 February 2013 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for February 20

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Mount Hakkoda (film), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Shōgo Shimada (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Password

The password for this account is "freerangepig". Mysterious Island (talk) 02:00, 23 February 2013 (UTC)

No any more, it isn't. Accounts with publicly known passwords are not allowed, so I have changed it. Another editor who logged in as Mysterious Island (talk) 14:33, 27 February 2013 (UTC)
Wait. So the real Mysterious Island doesn't know their password? 069952497aComments and complaintsStuff I've done 20:04, 27 February 2013 (UTC)
