Image Tagging Image:11236.jpg

[edit]
Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:11236.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{GFDL}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

It might not have been your intention, but you recently removed content from Monster Allergy. Please be careful not to remove content from Wikipedia without a valid reason, which you should specify in the edit summary or on the article's talk page. Thank you. A link to the edit I have reverted can be found here: link. If you believe this edit should not have been reverted, please contact me. TheRanger 16:22, 14 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Read the page I directed you to. Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information, which is what that list is. – Someguy0830 (T | C) 06:06, 4 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I should actually explain further. As time goes on, that list will just get longer and longer until it dominates the whole of the article with a ridiculous list of things it no longer offers and information that any semi-active person could check with the click of a mouse. Wikipedia isn't a guide of any kind, and it serves no purpose to list every single video the site offers when anyone can easily check it themselves. We generalize to make it easy to read. You don't seem to understand this. – Someguy0830 (T | C) 06:15, 4 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Read point 3 of the section taht links takes you to. Also let me quote it: "Wikipedia is not a directory of everything that exists or has existed." What part of that isn't clear? – Someguy0830 (T | C) 06:18, 4 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You don't seem to get it. You do not decide who edits where. If you revert that page again, you'll break WP:3RR. – Someguy0830 (T | C) 06:21, 4 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Creating a new page with the list makes no diffference. It's still an indiscriminate list. – Someguy0830 (T | C)
I was trying to show you why the list was inappropriate. I didn't expect you to simply ignore what I was telling you and create a page with the list. – Someguy0830 (T | C) 06:40, 4 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
No it's not. It's a list. People already know what shows are playing. They can check for themselves. 06:44, 4 November 2006 (UTC)
Those lists contain information that pertains to broader subjects. Your list is a simple listing of videos, more than half of which no longer exist, for a single website. – Someguy0830 (T | C) 06:55, 4 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
