[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. I saw that you edited or created Neumont University, and I noticed that the username you have chosen, "NU DOE", seems to imply that you are editing on behalf of something other than yourself. Please note that you may not edit on behalf of a company, group, institution, product, or website, and Wikipedia does not allow usernames that are promotional or have the appearance of shared use. If you are willing to use a personal account, please take a moment to create a new account or request a username change that represents only yourself as an individual. You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and remember that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. Thank you. GB fan 18:54, 4 January 2013 (UTC)
Username NU_DOE has been defined. User Gratans and Collegestud were using the Wiki anonymity to accuse NU of editing page content under guise of something nefarious. NU_DOE is a personal user simply wishing to identify themselves accurately. No posts by NU_DOE are official statements of the University, but I'd rather the University not be accused of misdeads simply due to naming confusion. Is a name change still required?
If a username change is required, how do I go about submitting this request?NU DOE (talk) 19:13, 4 January 2013 (UTC) NU_DOE
- When you edit the article, Neumont University, it appears you are editing on behalf of the university. That is not allowed. You should change your username to one that identifies you as an individual. You can request it at WP:CHU. Also you should read about editing with a conflict of interest.
