Dear Reviewer,

Thank you for reviewing the article. I would defend content of the article in hopes that you can either reconsider, or guide me to meet wikipedia standards.

  • This article may require copy editing for grammar, style, cohesion, tone, or spelling. (October 2011)
    • You are correct, I was surprised and delighted that the article was reviewed so quickly. The copy-editing is being resolved in the process of meeting the other standards. I did not expect the article to be accepted immediately, if you are familiar with "brown m&ms", you might crack a smile. :)
    • More external sources and references have been requested and will be added to the page when they are available to me.
  • This article appears to be written like an advertisement. (June 2012)
    • This is an entry for a real estate company. Other real estate companies for example: Cushman_and_Wakefield,CBRE_Group,Colliers_International. Contain the same type of information, worded similarly. There are many others, but this is enough to contextualize this particular article within this type of entry.
    • In addition to being based on similar entries, the content is being made available to wikipedia based on the infobox standards. It has on this first draft been limited to the kind of information that is structurally approved within that template. I am at a loss, to how presenting the infobox information in long form constitutes advertisement. Because this entry is for a corporation, I understand that this is a gray area. However, the use of language and presentation of information in long form is based on existing and approved comparable articles. Information outside of the infobox, for example the section on the parent company, as fore-mentioned, based on existing wikipedia pages with the same sections and analogous in substance.
  • A major contributor to this article appears to have a close connection with its subject. (October 2011)
    • Again I understand that this a gray area. We are attempting to provide information from a primary source. Which (after meeting non-advertising standards), I believed was of mutual benefit. Articles on wikipedia are subject to defamation, vandalism, and excessive attempts to change the content. It has been my understanding that wikipedia has in the past has respected primary sources in order to ensure the veracity of content in general, not just in response to extreme cases.
    • A contributor with a lesser connection would not have access to this information.
    • This is an international company with significant presence in the American continent. However, for this very reason, there is information that can not be made available to wikipedia in the interest of confidentiality. As you are probably aware, restructuring, merging and splitting of large companies is not uncommon. As you can imagine, this also limits the amount of information that can be presently provided.
    • When the page is accepted, you will undoubtedly have more and more diverse contributions to this page, as it has been the case with most of the pages in wikipedia.

Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because it appears to be mainly intended for publicity and/or promotional purposes. If you intend to edit constructively in other topic areas, you may be granted the right to continue under a change of username. Please read the following carefully.
Why can't I edit Wikipedia?

Your account's edits and/or username indicate that it is being used on behalf of a company, group, website or organization for purposes of promotion and/or publicity. The edits may have violated one or more of our rules on spamming, which include: adding inappropriate external links, posting advertisements and using Wikipedia for promotion. Wikipedia has many articles on companies, groups, and organizations, but such groups are generally discouraged from using Wikipedia to write about themselves. In addition, usernames like yours are disallowed under our username policy.

Am I allowed to make these edits if I change my username?

Probably not, although if you can demonstrate a pattern of future editing in strict accordance with our neutral point of view policy, you may be granted this right. See Wikipedia's FAQ for Organizations for a helpful list of frequently asked questions by people in your position. Also, review the conflict of interest guidance to see the kinds of limitations you would have to obey if you did want to continue editing about your company, group, organization, or clients. If this does not fit in with your goals, then you will not be allowed to edit Wikipedia again.

What can I do now?

If you have no interest in writing about some other topic than your organization, group, company, or product, you may consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.

If you do intend to make useful contributions here about some other topic, you must convince a Wikipedia administrator that you mean it. To that end, please do the following:

  • Add the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} on your user talk page.
  • Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:Listusers to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy.
  • Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:
    • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the edits for which you were blocked.
    • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.
