Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to Ornette Coleman, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. WebHamster 18:56, 20 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A related factor on these to-and-fro edits on the Coleman page is: are they necessary at all? An encyclopaedia doesn't really need to list every gig an artiste performs. If anywhere, these belong on the Meltdown 2009 page. AllyD (talk) 19:51, 20 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Pink Floyd. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. WebHamster 12:10, 21 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I think a few editors need to relax and perhaps get out of the house, get some fresh air, a girlfriend, a friend etc. I cannot believe how difficult it is to make factual changes on this website. And if you dare to push a point the editors threaten to ban you from the site! Me thinks a few editors may have been victims of a little bullying at school and are using this site to get their own back. Just a thought!

And I know I will probably get barred for daring to even suggest this, which makes a mockery of the idea that the internet is a world for free speech! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nakedlunch123 (talkcontribs)

I've already answered a similar vent on my talk page, but I thought I'd take a few seconds to let you in on some facts of life. Wikipedia is not a venue for free speech, never has been, never will be. Perhaps if you hadn't ignored the comment on the section of the Pink Floyd page then you wouldn't be in the position of having broken the rules. Perhaps instead you could be enjoying your fresh air and girlfriend instead of whinging and whining here. --WebHamster 15:52, 21 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I think I love you Webhamster. You are so powerful, a bit like a steward at a football match or a Community Police Officer!

Actually if you'd taken the time to find out, you would have discovered that I have no power above and beyond that which you have here. I'm a basic editor, just like you. I cannot command you to do anything, I cannot block you. What I can do though is choose to point out direct to you that you are breaking the rules as opposed to reporting you to the admins. It seems that you take exception to the former so that only leaves the latter. Seems a strange choice, but as you are obviously assured that you are always correct I'll bow to your judgement call. --WebHamster 16:36, 21 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Oh please, lighten up. It's a beautiful world out there. Enjoy it! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nakedlunch123 (talkcontribs)

You do seem to jump to some incorrect conclusions. What makes you think I'm not out in the "beautiful world" whilst I type this? Are you really sure WP is the right place for you to be? It makes more sense that you'd be hiding under a bridge somewhere. Oh, by the way, don't forget to sign your comments. There's a good open-air loving chap. --WebHamster 17:29, 21 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:Ornette coleman.JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Triplestop x3 17:24, 26 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:PeteKing 3.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:PeteKing 3.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 11:05, 25 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
