Hey, try relicence file to "PD-Ukraine"! That licence it aplied at soviet anonymous work, published or created before 1951. That file not must be deleted! + Dont make a problems please - if your nominating all files wih this "problem" to deletion, wikiepdia dont remain much of historical photos. 77.48.153.172 (talk) 00:18, 16 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

PD-Ukraine template can be used only for soviet photos published in Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic.--Nanae (talk) 10:36, 16 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Not, beascuet USSR it "oficial" concepted at same basic as "Austrie - Hungary" - State Union of Ukraine and Russia, which is then further divided - for example, allowed the Soviets to have two votes in the UN - one for Russia, the other for Ukraine.

Therefore, both the license templates can be combined and swap.

In addition, try to abort the delete nominating ... This photograph was first published in Soviet newspapers from 1939. In your need a proof, im scan that page ... And it is a pity that this file been deleted. as can see, http://images.google.cz/imgres?imgurl=http://vivovoco.rsl.ru/VV/JOURNAL/NEWHIST/ROCK2.JPG&imgrefurl=http://vivovoco.rsl.ru/VV/JOURNAL/NEWHIST/ROCK.HTM&usg=__49u-71l650xryqmcfJQrVvcvBb8=&h=400&w=279&sz=19&hl=cs&start=13&sig2=LrD6lClbMFkO3UZAviuYSA&um=1&tbnid=a-j_d91q7XWlgM:&tbnh=124&tbnw=86&prev=/images%3Fq%3D%25D0%25A0%25D0%25BE%25D0%25BA%25D0%25BE%25D1%2581%25D1%2581%25D0%25BE%25D0%25B2%25D1%2581%25D0%25BA%25D0%25B8%25D0%25B9%26hl%3Dcs%26lr%3D%26sa%3DX%26um%3D1&ei=QptRS52dGo_kmwON8qiiCg

this file it published 1940 (same file, but this at wikiepdie it retushed)

plus, this file, published in 1940, cant be licences ad "PD-old", beascue (1940-2010 = 70)

i have not participated in writing the template, but the source for my earlier statement about publishing is commons:Template_talk:PD-Ukraine (in particular, the last section). In addition, the caption of the photo in the website you cited doesn't report 1940, but 1941 (from the site: «Командующий 16-й армией генерал-лейтенант К.К. Рокоссовский во время битвы под Москвой. 1941 г.»). If you have a proof that photo was published in 1939, you should present it, but in Commons:Deletion_requests/File:RokossovskyKK.jpg, not here. Please, you should understand that en.wiki is not the right place to discuss a deletion procedure on Commons.--Nanae (talk) 12:10, 16 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Beascue im got a ban an commons, im must talk this way. Look here: http://vivovoco.rsl.ru/VV/JOURNAL/NEWHIST/ROCK.HTM - this fiel it an this page credited as "created in 1941, as report abozut battle of moscow". Beascue, this file cant be ceeped, beacue this license cover files before June 1941, and "battle of moscow" it during 2. october 1941... --77.48.153.172 (talk) 12:26, 16 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I understand... Well, caption of the photo says (according Google translate): «Commander of the 16 th Army, Lt. Gen. KK Rokossovsky, during the Battle of Moscow. 1941». Therefore, i see no alternatives to deletion. PD-Ukraine template can't be used and if the photo was taken during the battle of Moscow, not even PD-Russia-2008 template can be used. Can you scan the page of the soviet newspaper dated 1939 containing the picture and publish it on Flickr (preferably) or on others image hosting websites?--Nanae (talk) 13:54, 16 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
OK, im try make a scan... hey, why your dont accept this alernative - PD-Rus-2008 excpet files created BEFORE 22 JUNE 1941, but battle of moscow it from date "2. october 1941" - it that a badly argument? --77.48.153.172 (talk) 14:32, 16 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
If that photo was taken in october 1941, PD-Russia-2008 can't be used because the license covers only anonymous works published before 2 june 1941 (see: commons:Template:PD-Russia-2008).--Nanae (talk) 15:10, 16 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please, loot at this: "This file is a Ukrainian or Soviet work" - that mean, this teplate cant be use at other soviet (no only Ukraine SSFR) images.

thing about that, please...

look, and you think that the world would break down if there not delete this file? if you had to delete each file, what does not quite "Kosher" license, and he's almost nothing.

I do not come pity poor articles because, as wikipedia fananticky respects copyright law and that states are unable to agree on a more convenient alternative?

Put it "PD-Ukraine" - the license may be there, and it will be done

small reguest[edit]

im dont find a neewspaper with that image, but im find other image (Rokossovsky it my a very distant relative (his grandfather and my grandfather got a same father- so it's also the case interested) and this I found in the family estate ...

I propose to withdraw delete, upload this as a new version of the file "RokossovskyKK.jpg" and change the lcienci at "{{PD-user-w|cs|wikipedia|Ladislav Šafránek}}"

would such an agreement possible?
