Digimon vandal

Do you keep a page where you have all of the information on the IP user from Indonesia who says that Digimon aired on NBC?—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 05:42, 4 January 2011 (UTC)

I've kept the list of the IPs used by the Indonesian misinformation vandal on my sandbox. But if you want, I can copy the list here, including the most recent one he used. - 上村七美 (Nanami-chan) | talkback | contribs 09:09, 4 January 2011 (UTC)
Link it to Materialscientist. Maybe with the information the more technically minded admins can get off their asses and figure out a range (or island) to block.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 09:47, 4 January 2011 (UTC)
Also does your list include 114.57.19.64 (talk · contribs · WHOIS)?—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 09:48, 4 January 2011 (UTC)
I actually reported him to JamesBWatson (since he's now also familiar to the vandal, among many active and semi-retired admins) and has blocked the 114.57.0.0/16 range for a short time because of that. I'll copy the entire list of the IPs the vandal used (since July 2009) to Materialscientist to know what he's talking about. But I doubt Materialscientist will action to that. He seemingly snubbed any of my past alert messages to him. - 上村七美 (Nanami-chan) | talkback | contribs 09:54, 4 January 2011 (UTC)
DO NOT COPY THE WHOLE LIST. Just link to the section on your sandbox page.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 09:56, 4 January 2011 (UTC)
Copied the link. BTW, I always prefer to reply on the sender's talk page when someone drops a message here. BTW, do you watch this page as well? - 上村七美 (Nanami-chan) | talkback | contribs 10:05, 4 January 2011 (UTC)
No. But I prefer that conversations be kept in one spot. I just check my contribs to see if my edit is on the top if I'm in a discussion with someone.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 10:41, 4 January 2011 (UTC)

The article Following (solitaire) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails Wikipedia's notability guidelines.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Neelix (talk) 04:12, 5 January 2011 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:Pilipinas Got Talent logo.png

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Pilipinas Got Talent logo.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. Autopatrolled

Hello, this is just to let you know that I have granted you the "autopatrolled" permission. This won't affect your editing, it just automatically marks any page you create as patrolled, benefiting new page patrollers. Please remember:

  • This permission does not give you any special status or authority
  • Submission of inappropriate material may lead to its removal
  • You may wish to display the {{Autopatrolled}} top icon and/or the {{User wikipedia/autopatrolled}} userbox on your user page
  • If, for any reason, you decide you do not want the permission, let me know and I can remove it
If you have any questions about the permission, don't hesitate to ask. Otherwise, happy editing!HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 14:20, 26 January 2011 (UTC)
Thanks for giving me the autopatrolling rights, although I never asked for them. Can you give me a reason for granting me this? - 上村七美 (Nanami-chan) | talkback | contribs 14:50, 26 January 2011 (UTC)
Your name appeared on a list of people who've created lots of articles and should be eligible for the autopatrolled permission. The idea is to make the lives of new page patrollers' easier. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 17:08, 26 January 2011 (UTC)

Machine Robo Rescue Vandal

I don't think that the basic information written under the characters is a vandal. The information written was imported from the Japanese wiki. I'm also planning to change it back but it depends if you disagree or agree in the information that was given from the Japanese wiki. Saurers123 (talk) 02:00, 4 February 2011 (UTC)

I gave a final warning. Next time he acts up, report him at either WP:AIV or WP:ANEW, whichever is more appropriate. Daniel Case (talk) 15:31, 27 March 2011 (UTC)

Well, he hadn't yet received a final warning (though I admit had he been steadily warned during all this as he should have been, he would have been blocked by now), so I didn't feel comfortable blocking him without that. He deserves a chance to know what the consequences of his actions will be if he persists before facing those consequences. However, I did find his personal attacks to be egregious and uncollegial enough to go right to a final warning from your level 1 warning. Daniel Case (talk) 15:42, 27 March 2011 (UTC)

File:Captive Queens A.jpg missing description details

Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as File:Captive Queens A.jpg is missing a description and/or other details on its image description page. If possible, please add this information. This will help other editors to make better use of the image, and it will be more informative for readers.

If the information is not provided, the image may eventually be proposed for deletion, a situation which is not desirable, and which can easily be avoided.

If you have any questions please see Help:Image page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 17:37, 31 March 2011 (UTC)

Re: Tag-teamming IP vandals

Re your message: I blocked the first one since that was the most recent to edit. I think a range block might be a little too much at the moment for three IPs that seem pretty static. That range is pretty big, too. Blocking the other two should they return may be more effective. Semi-protection might work, too. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 01:43, 3 May 2011 (UTC)

Pinoy Big Brother: Double Up

Talk pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments, as you did at Talk:Pinoy Big Brother: Double Up, is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. Even making spelling and grammatical corrections in others' comments is generally frowned upon, as it tends to irritate the users whose comments you are correcting. Please allow discussion. Thanks,  Chzz  ►  11:31, 17 November 2011 (UTC)

I'm sorry that I initially used a 'template message' here (per WP:DTTR), but I didn't initially notice that you were so experienced. I'm frankly amazed that such a long-term user would revert a talk-page discussion comment like that. And consequently, when I realised, I amended the above message a little - although I still feel the point stands. Maybe your revert was just an error? Surely it is worthy of discussion, regarding the verifiability, at the very least?  Chzz  ►  12:06, 17 November 2011 (UTC)

Black or Cursed Pearl???

I just wanted your opinion about the term "Cursed Pearl" that was used in the articles, Survivor Philippines (season 1) and Survivor Philippines: Palau. Can't we used the term used in-show which is "Black Pearl"? Please reply to me immediately and I would change it. --Janbryan (talkcontribs) 22:23, 30 December 2011 (UTC)

Can you reply immediately??? I asked your opinion because you are the one who edited majority of the works in Survivor Philippines articles. I just started watching Survivor Philippines heavily in this season due of not having much time to watch last seasons' episodes so I'm asking your opinion about it. Black pearl was the term used when I'm reading some online news articles about season 1 and 2. Can you gave some insights in how it was made the "Cursed pearl" here in Wikipedia? 12--Janbryan (talkcontribs) 22:24, 1 January 2012(UTC)

Reunion Special Dates to be included to the Original Run section

Hey Nanami, I have a suggestion in including the dates of the Reunion specials from the past seasons of Survivor Philippines into their Original Run sections, not only the date of the Live Finale. Because if you could see, reunion specials is still part of a season. It doesn't mean that after the winner was announced, the whole season is completely done, there is still the reunion special episode which we know aired in Sundays, two days after the finale which is in Fridays. Please reply to me in my talkpage. Thanks!! Janbryan (talk) 03:13, 25 January 2012 (UTC)

Angry Birds

Greetings ... I wanted to let you know that your recent edit at Angry Birds has been undone as no source information was included with the edit. Whenever someone adds significant new information to an article, it's very important to include a source for the edit; this is also part of Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. Providing a source improves the accuracy and quality of the articles. If you have any problems with how to cite sources, please feel free to ask and an editor will gladly assist you. Thanks for your contributions, and happy editing! --McDoobAU93 17:44, 20 March 2012 (UTC)

I appreciate you finding the source for the information. In future, however, please don't be "lazy" and assume "somebody would do so anyway" ... there is no deadline and edits can wait until they're properly cited. --McDoobAU93 18:20, 20 March 2012 (UTC)

About how long should we block for? Daniel Case (talk) 21:05, 17 April 2012 (UTC)

OK. Has this range been blocked before? I'd just like to see where so I know it's OK, since I don't usually do rangeblocks because the technical issues involved are beyond me. But if it's been done before here, then I'll feel better. Daniel Case (talk) 21:24, 17 April 2012 (UTC)

Hi Nanami Kamimura, I wanted to ask you a question about the page I linked above. Do you still need this? I see that you haven't edited it for almost 4 years. I came across it on a search for people using Wikipedia as a webhost for their Big Brother elimination tables. If you don't need it, please let me know here or place a {{db-u1}} on it and it will be deleted when an admin gets to it in the queue. Thanks! Syrthiss (talk) 11:37, 21 August 2012 (UTC)

The reason it's in my sandbox is for practice for such tables in the actual articles. But you can now have it up for deletion, since I don't use it much anymore. I've uploaded the code to an online notepad. - 上村七美 (Nanami-chan) | talkback | contribs 16:23, 21 August 2012 (UTC)

Non-free rationale for File:PBB S2 Tarp.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:PBB S2 Tarp.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 08:37, 9 September 2012 (UTC)

Proposed blackout in protest of RA 10175

Dear Nanami Kamimura,

Greetings!

As a Filipino Wikipedian, I hope you are aware of the passage of Republic Act No. 10175, also known as the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012, which was signed into law by President Benigno Aquino III on September 12, 2012. Currently, there is a discussion on the Tambayan, the noticeboard for Philippines-related topics, about a proposed blackout of the English Wikipedia in the Philippines in order to protest the passage of RA 10175, similar to the blackout against SOPA and PIPA held earlier this year. I feel that your input on the subject will definitely help in the discussion.

Please feel free to participate in the discussion at Wikipedia talk:Tambayan Philippines#The Cybercrime Prevention Act, and I hope your input will help the Filipino Wikipedia community determine which is the best course of action against this law. Similarly, we hope to get as much input from as many Wikipedians as possible.

Thank you and maraming salamat po!

Kind regards,

Sky Harbor (talk) 13:34, 7 October 2012 (UTC)

Re your message: It appears that you are having a discussion with non-native English speaker, which is why there issues regarding "wears" versus "wear". I recommend that you start a discussion on the article talk page regarding the gender and then leaving the IP a note about joining the discussion. You can also leave a link to the discussion in the next edit summary. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 05:57, 17 February 2013 (UTC)
